  • My Mom from Jamaica, Dad from Ghana, I was born and raised her in Georgetown DC. This lady is telling the truth. Here in Washington DC, anytime I'm walking on the streets, I've to watch my back every minute. I can't walk on the as street in the night. I've been in Ghana for 5 times and anytime I walking day and night, I don't think that someone will come after me. I just finished my 5 bedrooms in Oyarifa near the tollbooth to the Aburi mountains
  • Thanks Michelle, for telling them, who complain so much about Ghana, while life in the West is getting difficult and unsafe for people of African descent. Glad Michelle is telling all about peaceful Ghana.
  • Yes, she did share a wealth of knowledge. I used to think that the Ghanaians went to Jamaica but because of certain little recent revelations, I'm agreeing with your "joke" about the Nigerians going to Jamaica. Yes, people who were raised in countries like America and England should understand that there isn't a great culture shock for people moving from the Caribbean to Ghana. I haven't been to Ghana yet but from what I've seen and heard, I don't think I'll be "shocked." Things just seem too familiar to me, even from this distance. I so agree... From what I've seen... the real estate, in Ghana (and other African countries), from the videos I've seen, is truly captivating. Imagine all that with the everything else that the environment has to offer. Peace of mind tailored to your desire.
  • So refreshing! Michelle should provide orientation to new arrivals.
  • Ghana is blessed with lovely people that it deserves 🇬🇭♥️
  • It's very encouraging to see someone of Bajan heritage thriving on the continent. I am proud of her.
  • Omg I love her, met her on a BA to Ghana flight in 2018 and she gave me the biggest hug, shame I had left my phone on my seat to use the restroom quickly, so I wasn’t able to get a picture with her 😔 I just love how she carries herself with so much elegance and grace ❤️
  • This is a fantastic interview! She dropped so many gems on how to transition from America or Europe to Ghana or (really) any African Country or other Countries. Someone had a great suggestion that she should "teach an orientation class for new arrivals," she would be fantastic at this and this will help many American expats and other Diasporas who are not truly knowledgable and familiar with the customs and ways of the Country. Folks from the Caribbean have similar cultures, but Americans (USA), we definitely have this entitlement and arrogance thing that should be put in check. I am moving to Senegal and her advise will be greatly heeded! Thank you, for this!
  • @ylstaggs
Wow! What a great interview, Michelle is while none in America and she is good in what she do! I love when God people have a call to move back to the motherland! I received what she said about, when the most high will dry everything up when you don’t move, they really hit my spirit!❤️🙏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🥰😍🌹🌹✊🏽🇬🇭🇬🇭Another thing she said that I received was Africa will push the gifts out of you and it will make you get out of your comfort zone!
  • Just. One. Word. Refreshing.👍🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 Dela you nailed it. Michelle is genuine and has an awesome attitude towards life, work, and moving to and living in Ghana. Anywhere one goes one need to respect the people and not be condescending. She has been in Ghana for (10) good years, own businesses that are thriving, and she is not saying she is going to be the one going to change Ghana single handed and make it great. She is not claiming her Airbnb is the only real and proper accommodation in Ghana. She is not disrespecting Ghanaians although she realizes somethings Ghanaians do that are not what one would expect coming from another country. Yes her dad is Ghanaian and a successful creative entrepreneur who established Merchant Bank. Now let’s contribute our little parts as we come in to settle and enjoy what Ghanaians have already made the country to be which is attracting us to come here. I just love this interview. Very refreshing. Dela ayekoo and akpe na wo.
