Does your automobile no longer run as well as it once did? Maybe you just purchased a used vehicle that seems to be lacking in power. Engines may lose power with time, leading to a noticeable decline in performance and decreased horsepower and efficiency. But why has performance fallen off recently? And how might it be avoided? In order to accomplish combustion, the engine of a vehicle uses a combination of air and fuel to generate power. The combustion's energy is subsequently transmitted to the wheels, which causes the automobile to drive. The engine's role is to carry out this task repeatedly and as effectively as possible. Nevertheless, the engine loses power for a number of reasons, which affects our performance. This is not an incurable mechanical ailment, and the issue may be resolved with the right diagnosis. So, for today’s video, let me guide you with the 10 Reasons Why Engines Lose Power Over Time! 1.) Dirty Air Filter 2.) Exhaust Restrictions 3.) Valvetrain Wear 4.) Fuel Injectors 5.) Fuel Pumps 6.) Worn Piston Rings 7.) Carbon deposits on valves or valve seats 8.) Carbon deposits on Piston 9.) Fouled Spark Plugs 10.) Need regular oil changes

3 Main part of the engine and 1 possible cause due to transmission issue 1. Combustion mix —failure of air delivery- chick filter to throttle body 2. Fuel or spark delivery — check spark plugs or fuel pressure, gas filter maybe gunked up allowing little gas to be shot out, or fuel injectors fail to to deliver, spark plugs is the easiest and cheapest to change 3. Exist of combustion fumes, catalytic converter, exhaust can inhibit the release of pressure causing increase pressure and reduce combustion … 4. Transmission- transmission fluid, if Manual- clutch, fork, engagement plate … you will feel slippage and kicks …

Great Video. it is comprehensive and covers most reasons. Thank you very much.

Spark plugs don,t cause an explosion. they create a rapid burn of the mixture, an explosion would destroy the piston crown.
  • Hello, my 1992 Toyota Corolla engine goes off while the car is in motion. Pls any suggestions as to why . Thanks

What about the the gearbox can't contribute to the loose of power when going up the hill?
  • Thanks ,but when I accelerate there's high raves with no good speed, what could be the problem?
