It’s no secret that RLRM has a history of interviewing some of Country’s biggest stars, and this duo is no exception.

Johnny Lee is an American singer-songwriter with some incredible hits that have spanned generations, such as his 1980 hit single “Lookin for Love,” which spent three weeks at the #1 spot on Billboard’s Country Singles chart. Mickey Gilley, on the other hand, is an incredible artist himself. Gilley started out singing country and western music in the 1970s, before moving to a pop-focused sound in the 1980’s.

Gilley & Lee are lifetime friends, and were both featured in the 1980’s film “Urban Cowboy,” which drove their success to new heights. Together, the pair have 38 chart-topping singles, and 20 #1 hits, such as “Room Full of Roses” and “Don’t the Girls all Get Prettier at Closing Time” by Gilley, and “Cherokee Fiddle” by Lee.

For Mr. Johnny Lee, I'll never forget my days as a young child singing "Looking For Love" everywhere I went. I even tried to sing it in a school competition, but just didn't have the singing voice back then I may have now. Your music made me partially into the man I am now. God bless!
