  • Cooper went from being such an angry, unhappy horse to being so beautifully happy, wonderful transformation - well done Steve
  • I don't understand why some people seem to think Steve is being unkind when he's firm with a horse. Sometimes people need that sort of firmness too. I remember my second ever driving lesson when I did some "Unrequested forward motion" at a junction. The instructor stamped on the dual brake bringing the car to a juddering stop and told me very firmly to NEVER, EVER move until he said so. I was shocked and slightly upset for a few moments but he earned my respect and I never EVER did it again!

Another success story. Cooper is fortunate to have landed with owners who had the resources to give him the training and care that he needed.

At first meeting---his behavior seemed almost crazy, like mentally ill horse---in just a few minutes of your work and establishing the different energy, Cooper's demeanor changed into that of an exhausted child...he could stop being angry and aggressive, but then the exhaustion of having to "defend" himself from his imagined danger for so long showed itself. Bless you Steve and Tanya for travelling so far to help a horse in need.

Still watching but Cooper is a lovely horse who just seems to have been a scared boy, desperately in need of a leader, someone he could trust. No, you weren't too hard hard on him at all. Wonderful job! ❤

Another sigh of relief from a troubled horse. How quickly he responded to boundaries and leadership. Great reminder that our horses would rather we be a leader - then a friend.
  • I think it’s so lovely how quickly he went from defensive to “oh thank you for telling me no and being my leader”. What a beautiful transformation. So grateful to the owners for being brave and allowing us to accompany you on this journey of freedom for their beautiful horse. 🤗
  • Heros: Dan and Linda for NOT giving up on Cooper; for hiring Steve and Tanya and flying them from Wales and bringing them to North Carolina to help Cooper. Heros: Steve and Tanya for coming to the USA from Wales to help Cooper; for Steve's amazing abilities, expertise and kindnesses for helping Cooper. This video was incredible; not to mention OUTSTANDING work, as usual, to Tanya! Thank you!

I'm always amazed at the change in the horses eyes as soon as you start working with them - shows so well with Cooper. Almost like relief?
  • A marvelous recovery ! The horse, owners, and viewers were treated to Steve's winning training and outcome. No wonder so many countries are asking for you both!
  • I’ve never seen you hug a horse before and it is a beautiful thing to see. Your expertise truly is a gift that makes such a difference in the lives of both horse and rider. Thankyou for all that you do❤❤❤
  • Your kindness and firming up is so crucial for this horse…and all horses. He’s so lucky you helped him
  • It was so much fun to see you on this side of the pond! And Cooper just needed a leader, someone to show him that it wasn't up to him to keep himself from dying every day. What a lovely horse, what a lovely outcome. Thank you Steve for keeping this story from becoming a dark one. Now Cooper and his people have a lovely future ahead of them!
  • When the video first started, and Cooper was moving his head back-and-forth and he was in and out of the stall and moving all around, it reminded me so much of my son when he was younger. He has ADHD and panic attacks. Especially when there was an unknown or stressful situation. You could see Cooper was totally stressed out and having a panic attack. He wanted to be in control of the situation to relieve his stress. But actually, it doesn’t relieve the stress at all because they don’t know what to do other than to continue learned negative behavior. so awesome Steve that you could see Cooper was under extreme stress. What a turn around. And you could also see after a couple of days work that Cooper not only adored you Steve, but respected you and wanted to please you. I certainly hope the owners can find a trainer that uses your methods. I know from experience there are some really bad trainers out there. Here’s wishing Cooper continued success!(maybe they should ship Cooper over to you!😂)

I'm giving this video a standing ovation!! What a transformation....even horses can get lost and need some direction. You do such great work Steve and Tanya!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
  • Not wanting to make your head swell, but you have given Cooper an amazing gift! And I think he's lovely.

This was my very favorite video ever! Yes, become jet setters and go around the world—Steve Young International Horse Trainer ! You deserve it. I love you guys!
  • Great job, Steve. Cooper looked so incredibly frazzled, as if he was just terrified of everyone. You showed him that you are strong enough to protect him. The relief in Cooper's body language was amazing. I don't like to imagine how he got like that.
  • @rhonda5816
You are hands down the best trainer in the world. You’ve saved so many horses lives. It’s amazing.
