I don't understand why some people seem to think Steve is being unkind when he's firm with a horse. Sometimes people need that sort of firmness too. I remember my second ever driving lesson when I did some "Unrequested forward motion" at a junction. The instructor stamped on the dual brake bringing the car to a juddering stop and told me very firmly to NEVER, EVER move until he said so. I was shocked and slightly upset for a few moments but he earned my respect and I never EVER did it again!

Another sigh of relief from a troubled horse. How quickly he responded to boundaries and leadership. Great reminder that our horses would rather we be a leader - then a friend.

At first meeting---his behavior seemed almost crazy, like mentally ill horse---in just a few minutes of your work and establishing the different energy, Cooper's demeanor changed into that of an exhausted child...he could stop being angry and aggressive, but then the exhaustion of having to "defend" himself from his imagined danger for so long showed itself. Bless you Steve and Tanya for travelling so far to help a horse in need.

I think it’s so lovely how quickly he went from defensive to “oh thank you for telling me no and being my leader”. What a beautiful transformation. So grateful to the owners for being brave and allowing us to accompany you on this journey of freedom for their beautiful horse. 🤗

WONDERFUL I cried happy tears for Cooper as his demeanor changed to softness.... He is a happy content stress free boy.... Also Dan the man so supportive and loving . beautiful souls . Well done all well done!

Still watching but Cooper is a lovely horse who just seems to have been a scared boy, desperately in need of a leader, someone he could trust. No, you weren't too hard hard on him at all. Wonderful job! ❤

It was so much fun to see you on this side of the pond! And Cooper just needed a leader, someone to show him that it wasn't up to him to keep himself from dying every day.
