  • The neat thing about the Sword of Light is, you can just use it to buff and then swap to something that does big time holy damage, like multi-layered Rings of Light. So really, as long as you meet the minimum requirements, you can just use the Sword of Light as a buff for your heavy hitting holy weapons and incants and then sheathe it away. Since it's a body buff, it will apply to any holy damage you deal, not just with the sword itself.
  • Interestingly enough, Gaius' Swordlance is the only legendary weapon in the game that can be infused and the ability to change it's ashes of war.
  • Ancient meteoric ore sword goes hard though, one of my favourites from the dlc
  • @ashreh
Bushy calling meteoric ore greatsword’s L2 “bad” while it does 4000 damage to Rellanna lol
  • "This L2 is very not good" My brother, you did a quarter of her HP in 2 hits, one of which she jumped out of and then back in and it still hit 😂
  • Not sure if you'll see this comment, but one thing that's really cool about Radahns Greatsword (the Promised Consort One) is that you gain SUPER hyper armor while you're doing it. This allows you to use it with Melania's Greatrune and literally become immortal against most bosses, as you can power your way through most attacks and heal from all the constant light hits counting as Colossal weapon hits, healing any damage you take back to full pretty much instantly. I know that's not really conducive of a 'challenge run', but might be fun to consider I'd think! "Can I beat the DLC only pressing L2?"
  • Hey Bushy. In the Putrecence Knight fight, when you tried to use the AoW to jump the attack, the reason why you took damage is because when you jump, your leg hitbox is hit, but your legs get I frames. But with the AoW, no part of your body gets I Frames. Thats why sometimes, your legs get clipped when jumping but you take no damage
  • I wish all the challenge runners (Bushy, Star0chris, Lilaggy) would mutually agree to just mod in the Scadutree fragments every time so they don't waste time collecting them lmao
  • 7:30 I won't stand for this Ancient Meteoric Greatsword slander, that thing slaps
  • You used to be able to get both the Prosthesis and Rotten Winged Sword in one playthrough. It was patched. I did it on my first playthrough by pure accident (I didn't know landing on NPCs hurt them, and I found that fact out in the most depressing way). I didn't even know she gave the Prosthesis. I ended up not using it. Even on later playthroughs I never kill Millicent for it. It's Millicent.
  • I always love the new names for scadutree fragments XD (Scooby snacks are hilarious)
  • The OST for the Leda and Allies fight has to be my favorite OST for the entire game
  • Maybe the true legendary weapon are the friends we made along the way
  • Wait, wasn't the Anvil Hammer a legendary armament, too? What happened to that?
  • i know it's not a legendary, but my favorite dlc weapon by far is the death knight's longhaft axe. the aow starts with a gap close (blink bolt), and the follow-up (the actual hit) is a jump with absurd hyper armor, so not only can you dodge certain attacks with it, it almost always connects regardless of what the enemy is doing. it does physical and lightning damage and scales off strength and faith. you can hit the soft cap for strength while two-handing, so you might as well put on the two-handed sword talisman. i can't be the only one who's noticed most of the dlc bosses are in water, but even if a different damage type would be better, like fire or holy, you're all set stat investment wise, because the fireknight's greatsword and the sunflower hammer (idk what it's actual name is lol, but i love it for its furnace-golem-bonking potential) pair very nicely with this. it does good poise damage for the weight, it has great reach, the standard melee attacks come out faster than it seems like they should, and you can free aim blink bolt and use it like bloodhound's step to save your bacon if you've found yourself about to get nuked by an aoe at phase transition (which seems to be almost every phase transition in the dlc lol). for our dex friends, there's the twin axes, which i do like. the aow starts with blinkbolt like the longhaft and has a follow up, which has you spinning like a drill. I've found that on small, mobile enemies, it will miss quite a few of the hits, making the damage inconsistent, whereas with the longhaft, enemies that are usually very annoying (like the spinny bois with the cirques) are trivialized by the hang-time in the air and the tracking. it's on big enemies, though, that the twin axes really shine. the follow up on the aow counts as multi-hit, making it possible to stack the damage through the roof. to test how high it could go, i went back to base game (i'm replaying the dlc in ng+ and had rushed radahn and mohg) and went to placi. after using golden vow, howl of shabriri, and casting florissax's gavel lightning debuff on him, with shard of alexander, lightning scorpion charm, rotten winged sword, millicen'ts prosthesis, the death knight set (which buffs all dragon cult spells and skills), and the lightning and thorny tears in the physick, i one cycled him. easily. bear in mind, though, i had respec'd glass cannon with 80 fth and 80 dex total after milli's, so make of that what you will. and did i mention all of this goes really well with the knight's lightning spear, which is unequivocally the best spell in the dlc? well, now i did. you're welcome.
  • Malenia's great rune works very well with Radahn's swords because each laser from the AOWs count as a colossal hit and with the recent buff this great rune got so the heal is pretty nuts
  • Can't really speak to the others, but sword Lance is actually pretty decent, pierce is a good damage type and it gets S scaling when you infuse it with heavy
