I have the complete Topsun set. There are two versions the blue back and the green back, Blue being the first print of them(with a small No Number error first print run). As far as if they were actually the first Pokemon cards that's still debatable. I have looked into it hard many times and best I can come up with is The official Japanese base set was October 1996. The Bandai Carddass cards were somewhere between September-December 1996. And the Topsun cards were in early 1997. The copyright date of 1995 that were printed on both the Topsun and the front of the Carddass cards were just the official copyright year of Pokemon itself from Creatures/Game Freak.

This is wild. People will open boxes until they pull the secret and put the rest in a vending machine and sell them. Crazy people will buy loose packs like this.
