When he realized he spoke Arabic, he repeated the interview as if he had just met 😂
-
You can see the moment he spoke their language, everyone instantly smiles and welcome him. It's like you shattered the culture barrier
-
I love such cultural exchanges. It's like people instantly open up to each other and let go of their prejudices.
-
When someone speaks another culture's language, they immediately open up and lose any prejudice they had before. It is amazing to watch
-
As soon as he found out he spoke Arabic he was over the moon 😂
-
Really impressive how he was able to understand the casual talk in Arabic. Takes years to understand that when you only learn with textbooks 🙏 really beautiful
-
He learned a specific arabic accent which is (the gulf countries accent) rather than the “classical Arabic language” that most non arab people start with when learning Arabic for first time. He did great at this. Learning Classical Arabic for conversation purposes wont take you anywhere, plus its way difficult than the regional specific Arabic accent. Well done! Good choice

It's amazing what doors open, knowing someone else's language..

This translation.. Reporter: Do you speak Arabic? Korean guy: Yes, a little. Reporter: Oh, a little. Welcome. Peace be upon you. Korean guy: Peace be upon you. Reporter: How are you? Korean guy: Praise be to God. Reporter: Where did you go in Qatar? Korean guy: I went to the sea and to the desert Reporter:Oh, I went to the manor, Guy: Yes, Reporter: What did you do there, Guy: I drank camel milk, Reporter: What did he drink?, Guy: Camel milk, Reporter: Oh, our friends gave him camel milk, Reporter: What I ate. The young man: I ate balaleet, samosas, luqaimat and shakshuka. The reporter: Shakshouka with cheese. The young man: Yes. The reporter: Your breakfast is better than mine. 😶

So the barrier is the language. That's it. Lesson for life. It's good to see this kind of cultural exchange. ❤

For all of you guys who are saying that as soon as the Korean dude started speaking Arabic the reporter’s demeanor changed and that he lost the “prejudice” that he had, I have a few things to say in response. 1. Everybody finds it cool when someone speaks their language especially if it’s from a country where you least expected it. 2. The reporter is not fluent in English and he struggles a tiny bit with it. 3. What really made the reporter shook is that he was doing some unique Qatari culture things such as going to a farm “farms over there are different, I don’t really know how to describe it” and had camel milk, some unique Arabic foods for breakfast and so on so of course he’d be impressed. 4. He was nice to him from the beginning it was just the language/cultural barrier, there are a bunch of other interviews with Brazilian fans and others and he was so sweet with them as well, he also stated that he’s struggling a bit because of the language barrier. So yeah please don’t be so fast to judge the dude is nice he was just too focused on what he’s going to say because of the language barrier.
