The Top Data Roles for Introverts

Okay, SQL developer is now my long term career goal! I wanted to change careers in the first place to get away from general public facing roles. People make my head hurt sometimes.

True. Just to add. Most people, esp the young ones out of high school or college, dont realise that the Data Analyst role is a complete career path on its own i.e you can enjoy a fairly satisfying career by just doing data analysis. It will not pay as much as the more advanced top roles like DE ,MLE ,DBA , SQL Dev but that is the way it is. If you have what it takes , the drive , the determination you can progress. Some of us are in Small economies where there are more opportunities for DAs than the TOP roles. In short, no need to panic or rush. Start with DA role and then progress after gaining some experience into higher roles

What would you say is the best cert for SQL? Oracle MySQL, Microsoft Azure for DBA, or any other? I want to stay in the T-SQL universe, but the Oracle class is on the developer side. Goal is to get into data analytics

Hi Mike, as a recent college grad and someone without internship/work experience, after learning sql and power bi well with the cert, what else should be on my resume for data analyst position? I know you mentioned hiring managers don’t look at projects but without them my resume is so short. How do I demonstrate sql and power bi skills without any relevant work experience? Should I aim for an internship before applying to full time data analyst? Thank you for the clear cut and harsh truths you provide for this space.
