I Put A Jet Engine On My Bicycle

You won't believe how fast this thing goes compared to my jet powered kayak! Honestly too fast. If I held the throttle down full, the bike would get past 40mph and beyond QUICK! I felt it happening on my first run within seconds and the bike started a high speed wobble so I shut it down. After that, I kept it at half throttle and it was still plenty of fun and more importantly, controllable. But knowing how fast things escalated when that knob was turned too far....um...I think I'll stick to peddle power from now on!

  • The child-like joy on your face as you rocket down the street is infectious Marty. An excellent build my friend!

I love that you put a jet engine on a bicycle with only a coaster brake lol.
  • This was so much fun. The speed was wonderful but the sound was even better. I also like how you build so many cool things without a big workshop and expensive equipment. This engine would look great on my little Jetson bolt E bike. Of course I would have to add a stabilizer to control the death wobble from the 14 inch wheels. Good one Marty.👍👍

HOLY WOW!!! i gotta say, this is absolutely incredible! I stumbled upon this video while I was searching for ways to attach a flag pole to a bike for Burning Man... have you ever heard of it? you are the type of guy who would absolutely be at home on the playa with your amazing DIY creations. Even if the jet motor didn't work and was there just for a sort of steampunk aesthetic, this would still be incredible... but you actually made it WORK!!! Hats off to you man! 😮
  • Ah Marty-always up to something-fishing 🎣 designing/tinkering 🧰 🛠️ putting unnecessary holes in boats 😳 and the occasional experiment with a jet engine 👀 😐 😏 just don’t hurt yourself while we hold your beer! 😃

Marty... I volunteer as tribute for a full speed run! I've already got riding (protective) gear for my motorcycle. Let me know if you wan a test pilot. Keep up the AWESOME work man!

32,000 people have lived vicariously through your video... Tongue out... flip flops, airmen helmet and goggles, shorts and everything. At least we did not get to read about a "florida man" doing dukes of hazard over an alligator while on a jet bicycle. That first time was terrifying because you had a camera in one hand, thing was not dialed... it was wobbling. Whew... I was not even there and I got scared on your behalf.
  • Zoff, have you put an electric motor on a surf board yet? Yup, Brooklyn to Fla, re-habitation, complete.
  • @avala721

Seeing this in action confirms an idea I had, I plan on adding 2 smaller electric ones to an Ebike that already goes close to 50 MPH, I want to use the jets as a nitro/turbo boost effect whenever I need it, plus electric means no gasoline, a bit quieter, and quicker initiation 🥹 love your project brother, safe travels 😊
  • it’s time we got a happy Zofferz upload. I hate seeing our hero appear to move in reverse after smashing the reset button. we know he’s not & we’re all rooting for him. get it, Marty. thanks for returning
