This was my wife and I song. We were together for 39 years. She passed away May 2020. This song comes on while I'm shopping in the market. Clean up on aisle 5. I can't stop listening even though my heart aches. I can't stop missing her. Music brings such memories, good and sad. Love to all who lost their true love.

A rare moment when this Song outperforms the whole movie! RIP Dan Hartman
  • We need to bring back this style of music. The 80's music were the BEST.

When you think about the fact that the four guys playing the parts of the band members are actors, not dancers, it makes their dancing even more impressive.

RIP Dan Hartman. Thank You for all your wonderful music.
  • Although SOF wasn't a huge box office hit, I still count this as one of the 80s' iconic soundtrack tunes

One of the most underrated movie soudtracks ever! Watching this move and listening to the soundtrack takes me back to a special place. Loved everything about this movie.

I miss the 80s. The music aside from being nostalgic makes me feel so hopeful and optimistic.
  • Beautiful song. With well dressed brothers . Totally class and style love it.
  • This is one of my favorite songs. Every time I hear it I go back to August 1984, and my sister had her boombox playing this song at a neighborhood picnic. Such good memories
  • This fictitious group was so convincing DAN HARTMAN HAD to make a video because people were thinking this group actually sung this song. Either way it's TIMELESS CLASSIC! R.I.P. Mr. Hartman!

Robert Townsend and the rest of these dudes were everything in the 80s. Love this and them!

In the movie the lead singer of this song was the late Winston Forde who was African American. The director Walter Hill didn't think that Dan Hartman voice didn't sound "Black" so he hired Mr Forde. Watch the movie again and you will hear the difference between them. Dan Hartman tried to pitch this song to Hall and Oates, but they already had completed the Big Bam Boom album and didn't need it. I like the movie version and this one as well. RIP Dan and Winston.

The glory days of MTV. I loved, still love this song and this video. I heard this in Trader Joe's over the PA the other day and came home singing it in my head,

Recorded this off the radio in Augusta, GA 1984 with my boom box while at FT Gordon. Had just joined the US Army. By Sept 1984 was in West Germany jamming to it.

Shout out to Dan Hartman, a truely genius songwriter 🎹🎼⭐️! Who past away too early and under sad circumstances

Dan Hartman was great. So were Streets of Fire and this performance of 'I can Dream About You'.
