There are a lot of heat sensors in your neck, something I found out during a blood donation appointment and started overheating. So it makes sense that not covering your neck feels better, even if that goes against the rule for hijab. Don't worry about your tummy, it's perfectly normal for it to stick out! Especially for women, ESPECIALLY for women who've had children.

I’m going in for my biannual mammogram this Friday. In Australia when a woman turns 50, we get 2 birthday presents from the government and then every 2 years thereafter- a free mammogram and a self testing bowel cancer kit, which we use and post off to a pathology lab. So far negative on both. Those trousers, I never buy linen clothes. They look good when new, but once creased,or crushed they are hard to iron and the creases can become permanent lines. The linen fibre comes from the stem of the flax plant which is quite stiff and goes through a lot of processing to extract it. I taught textiles and design in high school and we had to look at fibres, yarns, fabrics from a consumer and scientific view point. Rayon (regenerated cellulose) shouldn’t really shrink that much. It may appear so when washed, but irons out quite well to its correct size. I like to wear rayon as it’s cool to wear in summer because it is cellulose based.

Mimo I think wearing rayon or chiffon hijabs with no undercap or mesh under cap helps make you feel cooler. I also like wearing long maxi dresses made of cotton or rayon or linen (these wrinkle but you can use hand held steamers). I like the feeling of air circulating under my dress and I find that these keep me cooler than when I wear pants or skirts. This might be TMI but with dresses you don’t have to wear much underneath 😅. Anyways I love your chat and I think you doing this while you make cakes could also work 😊
