Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.

I am an independent content creator and a fan of the game, I am not paid by Cloud Imperium however I do accept ships from them to giveaway to my community but this will by no means influence my opinion or what I say and believe about the project.

    I adore this kind of gameplay, being out away from home for multiple sessions with just what you have with you, surprisingly the most fun I have had in this game was filling my cargo hold and slowly selling it all over the system over about 4 sessions, that journey was extraordinary compared to the 1 hour long missions. Can't wait for the vision of this game to be further captured, and for multi-session / long-form missions to be a reality!

    Take a gun, walk up close so your gun is inside the shield and fire at the door then. Pops open every time 😊

    I always thought the 'shooting a door to open' it tends to work best with the multitool laser and on a side entrance somewhere, because otherwise if ship weapons could do it you'd end up with cargo doors randomly opening in the middle of space fights.

    You need ballistics to open ships now.
  • Pretty sure you could’ve walked up to the Corsair and used a rifle up close to shoot open the door inside the shield perimeter.

    I have visited all of the settlements on Hurston, and they were all amazing! I definitely need to devote a day to exploring MicroTech. The settlements are an exciting addition to the game that help make the star system feel more lived in!

    for getting into ships get a salvo frag pistol 2 fully charged shots you can knock the rear ramp of that corsair open, also your tractor beam mass was exceeded you can slap anouther tractor beam on the other salvage module replaceing the cynch module and should be able to lift a cutty off the ground with it, you also finally got through the shields of that corsair if you just kept fireing for a little bit more you would have shot the rear open, the corsair has a size 3 shield with a little over 100k shield hp and you was fireing size 1 bulldog laser repeaters at it which takes FOREVER to get through a size three shield

    Hey Mac, for a coupled pilot like yourself, your landing shots could really use smoothing out, try binding ALT + ScrollWheel to your Thrust Limiter, then you can come to a halt above where you wanna land and gently float down!

    What a great, relaxed gameplay loop! Seems like a good way to learn piloting / helmsmanship. Maybe not setting the world on fire profit-wise, but Auec gains aren't everything, or even the point of playing this way.

    you can use your ships scanners to scan boxes without having to leave the ship.

    Man I don't remember crashing at Microtech but that is the same way I set up my Corsair
  • You can use the Vulture's tractor beam to see what is in each cargo container without leaving the ship :)
