the reason pokemon seem harder to catch underground is because they changed it to where if you're a lower level than the wild pokemon it drastically lowers the catch rate

I would love to see you do the professor oak challenge for these remakes. Idk if I want to just see you suffer when you unlock the grand underground or if Im curious on how long it will actually take.

Actually, the strength and variety of Pokemon in the hideaways are determined by your game progress, specifically your badge count, when you become the champion, and when you get the National Dex. Edit: Okay, so I checked the wiki to fact check a reply I got recently, and it turns out I was partially wrong. The badge count and beating the Elite Four only affect the strength of Hideaway Pokemon. The variety is actually affected by five specific milestones, being obtaining Defog, Strength, the Icicle Badge, Waterfall, and the National Dex.

I wish more gym leader would use pokemon of different types like Volkner. Countering their weaknesses with counters adds a little bit of difficulty. Although they shouldn't be completely outlandish and follow a theme. Like colors, lore, benefit from weather if they use it (like using grass pokemon in fire type gym's) or the ability to learn moves of the gym leaders type.

FYI, the game lets you get one guaranteed turn when encountering roaming Mespirit. You can use a slower pokemon with mean look and it will still hit before Mespirit flees. No need to use master ball!
