OOH that spreadsheet makes my data loving heart happy!!! You are amazing for sharing that at no cost!

2024 will be my official 2nd year of really gardening and I went all out with seeds and I plan to utilize my very small space. I’ll be building another small garden bed. I can only do containers cause we have a pool surrounded by concrete. I decided to invest in a GreenStalk. Leafy greens lots of san marzano* tomatoes so I can make and freeze sauces. That’s another big goal I have is to learn to harvest and preserve food. 🤭
  • My goals are to make lots of vegetable broth at the end of the gardening season, to try dehydrating eggplants instead of pickling them, and to experiment with growing tomatoes in grow bags so they don't block the sprinklers in my garden. Thanks for the awesome video, April!
  • I need to watch that again and take notes. What an amazing video, your spreadsheet is absolutely amazing!
  • There are a lot of foods I like but which aren't kind to me so I don't eat them but I/we do grow them partly for my guy, and partly---mostly---to donate to local hunger centers. Like your hubs, he doesn't care for beets, dislikes the "earthiness" of beets' mineral taste, until we found yellow or golden beets. Can't possibly plant enough of those! And, he used to be a great spinach aficionado until he discovered Swiss chard and from that moment it was bye-bye spinach. I still put spinach into the winter garden, though, because if we can keep it from freezing to mush it's well received as a kind of winter green. Loved this video especially, very inspiring and very motivating! Thanks for all you do!

I’ve been watching lots of videos on gardening recently, since last year at the end of august my family moved to a new house! We finally have lots of room for a garden!!! Me and my dad have already started preparing the yard and getting seeds to start planting within the next week or so. I’m very excited to be able to get started and see what kind of stuff we are able to grow :D
  • @leslieinchicago
Love your channel! Would love to see more of how you use your yields: stir-fry recipes, what you freeze, salads. Thank you!
  • I learned a lot with your video. Thank you very much. God bless you and your family. Duane.
  • Love it April! I’m putting in my first fruit and nut guild this year - peach, plum, quince, and hazelnut. Fingers crossed. South Shore of Long Island. So far peach is doing great. Other trees are just planted so we will see. Also have currants, gooseberries, raspberries and blueberries.
  • @nait7714
Is great to see that more people uses excel for gardening, I even added dynamic charts! 😂 so happy that you are much better this year.
  • Wow. I thought I was a nerd. Clearly I'm just an amateur! Love the functionality of your spreadsheet! I'm off to your website to find a copy of it. Awesome!
  • OH MY GOODNESS!! I THOUGHT ABOUT MESSAGING YOU! IT'S SO NICE TO SEE YOU! You are so informative, kind of a rebel breaking the gardening rules for
  • Subtropical Queensland Au. Just sorted out all my seeds. And as a beginner I'm just going to plant what I have for August end of winter). Love yr channel by the way..
  • @cindycook5464
I’m hoping to be a first time gardener 😬. I want to be able to feed my family good organic foods and also teach my Grandaughter about gardening and spend lots of time with her 🥰
  • Great video, April. I am moving to a 3 acre property in Florida this year. I plan to plant a lot and to aim at self sufficiency as much as possible. I thought I was a garden nerd but…. I guess I’ll take second. The margarita was already in the mug….
  • @tooshieg2059
wonderful video. thanks for sharing. OBTW, I sub'ed to your newsletter but never received a coupon code for the planner- got an error instead.
  • @Fattiapples
Hi April your channel and garden beds excite me! Haha can you show your cleanup and how you refresh the soil each year with all those beds? Also how you combat pests like aphids with all that beet greens and lettuce being grown so nice and close together? I also signed up for the garden planter and link to excel sheet but didn’t get the coupon code or anything like another poster. I would love to see your excel sheet especially with your filled out info like your start dates and such and not completely blank if possible since your soil workable and last frost date is quite similar to mine and I have trouble with that part. Oh please! Thanks so much for you vid! My email has happi in it.
