Surviving a Frozen Dimension in Minecraft. The Minecraft 1.18 Caves & Cliffs update brought amazing new generation to the world of Minecraft, and made me want to make my own new custom dimension mod, with new mobs, new biomes, new structures, new mechanics and even a new custom mini boss! No splashes or cascades though, everything is frozen. Step aside Wild Update, I got the Frost Update right here.

Since I thought I could take my own challenge, I decided to invite my friends to beat it with me. We tried surviving this new Minecraft dimension, speed running the custom progression and hunting the new ennemies in this custom challenge! We only tried this for 2 hours though, which means the challenge of surviving a 100 days in hardcore in this dimension is still unbeaten!

Think you can do it? The mod is available for free here (I know I'm amazing): www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/snow-mercy

Alternative title: ratatouille man tortures friends with the Finnish

I love that each beacon only lets you play through one wave, so it forces you to go out an explore. I can easily see this being a huge dimension mod with tons of winter-related content.

Now, what about a summer themed mod, with sand castles attacking people? And a boss that uses the power of the sun to kill you? Nice video.

Like 90% of deaths in this are just you guys messing with each other and i absolutely love that
  • @SpaceMonkeyBoi
I love it when mod makers actually survive against the mod they made

A lot of guys surviving in Minecraft together with switching prospectives really brings me back to the old days.
  • Poor souls. They invaded Russia at the worst time: winter. Also it seems that Russia's military is testing new Snowman soliders on these poor souls

This video was awesome dude! You clearly put a lot of effort into this mod, very entertaining I can’t wait to see more :0

i wish the mod would've been accessible before new year, i wanted to try it out with friends for the occasion xD amazing mod tho, between the balancing of mobs and loot to the chaotic fun and ofc the work put behind this it's a mod you can be proud of

Hi Rat! I came up with some ideas and I hope you like em! Thanks so much for making these awesome mods and videos and have a lovely day! -Blizzard Bear, a mini boss; every time they hit you, you get a slightly longer cold effect on your health and that effect is called frost bitten. (: -Glacier Goats ; slightly larger goats with icicle horns that you can tame to fight against the snow army. They’d take frozen vegetables you can find in villages! (Like a carrot with ice chunks on it) -Forest icicles; that if you added cedar trees if anyone walks under them or close enough they fall really fast and do a little impelling effect that you can break out of by mining. It would look kinda like gravel but wonky icy see through. -The Wandering IceBergs; a harder boss, thats a huge ice berg that only spawns on ice biomes (the ice oceans) and is a big boi with ice body and snow on the top and is like a walker for the snow army. They have snowmen on their backs and rabid foxes frozen inside them who awaken and dig out from the ice body! They’re also on all four and have the feel of like a hippos shape, just a really big heavy force thats lumbering about into the battle field. You can kill them by blowing them up which would take chunks out of their body, hitting their legs so they’d break and it cant move anymore if you break two legs, melting them with a flamethrower which in turn will spawn water from the melting ice pushing you back depending on where you are and can be picked up by a bucket and ofc if you melt ice with fox inside the fox with do extra damage from being melted. -Rejected Snow Men; so in caves theres like four types of rejected snow men that do a lot of damage since they are angry and vengeful from being banished because of their uncanny appearance and they spawn in caves to make it harder to get resources. But if you knock their heads off and then retrieve said head, you are given the option to rebuild them and put their head back on them which either they’ll possibly give you a gift or they’ll flat out attack you again. -Random Igloos; these are very random igloos that sit among only empty spaces and to which are not trust worthy, some of they’re blocks are living hostile piece of snow that will pop out when approached and attack. Kinda like your mod of living blocks but these snow blocks attack, they have low health and can move pretty quick. Plus they’re numbers are random and can spawn in large groups or just be a lone individual.

Idea to make it feel more like opposite opposite hell: If a snowman head falls on a headless snowman, both the body and the head's powers are present on the snowman. This cannot be done further without deleting the head's power, and if you behead a combo snowman, and then tame it, it only has the body's power
  • item idea: Slay-cane. a candy cane that does more damage as you eat it. you can eat it whenever but there's a cooldown of a minute before you can eat another again. it lost gets worse durability the more whittled down it gets.

He should add enchants to the stuff that comes from air drop and add boss drop like flame mini gun by combining the coal burner and broken gun of head master.
  • @dragoned7685
You could make the health of the boss scale with the amount of players near it.
  • He definitely plays terraria. I was binging the whole snow mercy series, and i started to suspect it because of the snowmen, bosses, and how the waves were structured. What secured my belief was when he said "vehicular manslaughter" after someone got run over. Only someone who plays terraria would say that because of the achievement.
