Just a casual review and comparison for my DA V3 Pro. Like usual if there’s anything I forgot to mention I’ll leave a pinned comment. Have a good one guys,

Just some additional notes I forgot to mention: 1) The DA V3 Pro has a “pseudo” unibody shell and that does feel really nice. The Vaxee Outset is the same way. Meanwhile on the Zowie mice you get those hard shell connecting lines and you can feel those in your hand so this is nice to have for Razer here. I say “pseudo” unibody though since when I hold it to the light you can almost see what look like connecting lines under the paint so maybe they just coated over them but the effect is similar to a true unibody design and I dig that. 2) The DA V3 Pro (at less the white version) does show “grime” very easily. My hands don’t sweat much but even after just 3 days of use it was starting to show on the shell where my hands were resting. Cleaning this off can be challenging since I don’t want to get water or damp cloth anywhere near this. Maybe this is less of an issue on the black one. 3) The way it differs in shape compared to the EC2 or EC1 or the old DA can easily be viewed with RTNGS compare tool online. Mainly how it feels is the DA V3 is slightly taller at its highest point and the front where the clicks is is a bit wider. The DA V3 Pro is also a bit longer which I like since it means people with larger hands can choke up on it more without having their fingers come off the end (though sadly on the DAV3 if you do that your ring finger can end up resting on the harsh edge directly under the right click and that does not feel good). Their back humps are rather similar though I think I prefer Zowie’s slightly because their ratio of back right hump to the left hump flair out is a hair better to my preference (I prefer a bit of a less pronounced flair out on the back left with a more pronounced hump on the back right myself). 4) The shell material/coating on the DA V3 Pro is a matte textured shell and it sort of feels “chalky” for lack of a better word. That slant on the lower half of the side buttons feels rubberized which is awesome. Other than the Superlight which had a rubberized coating all round this is probably my favorite shell material/coating I’ve used thus far. I have come to find over time that I just do not like Zowie’s shell material/coating because it feels “gluey”/very sticky. Some people may love that but it’s not for me. 5) Some users have reported build quality issues more troubling than anything I’ve seen on my unit. If you get the side creaking or lose clicks that kinda thing I’d try to RMA your unit if it’s within warranty. EDIT: 6) The finger ledge on the DA V3 is very uncomfortable “if” you happen to hold the mouse such that your ring finger would rest on the hard edge. Zowie and Vaxee mice round their corners under the clicks but Razer does not. I would say they either needed the finger ledge to extend further to prevent the finger resting on that hard edge or they should’ve just rounded the corners like their competitors. Sometimes I hold the mouse dead straight and my ring finger rests right on the hard edge under the right click and when that happens it feels genuinely horrible. It’s hard for me to wrap my head around them not noticing this during development unless they simply didn’t test users with large hands and a palm grip. 7) I was too hard on the Outset in this video. It actually has the best build quality of any of the mice here, it’s just held back by the cable/wheel. Shape wise it’s a great one but the profile is very high and I found a bit too high for my liking but it’s a really good mouse overall. Unibody shell, extremely solid, excellent split trigger clicks, one of my favorite shapes.
  • The new batches of the outset ax has now a better cable similar to vaxee xe cable, there is a deathadder v3 wired with 8khz polling and one of the razer rep said to me it’s coming soon, zowie’s making a new shape with some elements of es (split button design), i’ve been maining the ec3-c for 2 months now and it’s good

Thank you very much for this video and the DA V2 Pro video. I've been doing a long of research into choosing a replacement for my DA Chroma, and your videos have been great for visually explaining the differences between these different mice. I've realized that I hold my Deathadder weird, in that I mainly hold it with my thumb, palm, and ring finger gripping the top right corner. Since the original Deathadder shape flares out the top right corner, it digs into my ring finger and I don't like that. The DA V3 Pro doesn't flare out, but it's still a sharp corner, so that's a big reason I'm hesitating getting it. The creaking build quality is also of concern. Zowie has come out with wireless versions of their EC mice, so I can go with those for a rounded top right corner, but I don't like the weird plastic around the scroll wheel, I have no idea how the coating will feel for my hands, and I'd probably have to lube the scroll wheel to make it quieter. I don't have any way of testing out different mice in person, so I don't even know if a symmetrical mouse like the GPX Superlight or Viper V2 Pro would suit my hand and grip better, so I'm probably sticking to the ergonomic shape I've been using all this time. My last contender for a new mouse is Pulsar's new Xlite V3, which seems to be a Deathadder V3 Pro with rounded corners. I'll wait for them to release and pray the reviews are good. I'll gladly take the plunge and try them out if there aren't any glaring issues. If the Xlite V3 become unsuitable, I'll either try the wireless Zowies or the DA V3 Pro. If it comes down to the DA V3 Pro, I might try adding filler material inside the shell to reinforce against the creaking, and if the top right corner is still too sharp, I'll see if there's enough shell material there to be suitable for be rounding the corner out with sandpaper. I don't want to do mods like these, so that's why I'm hoping the Xlite V3 will be good.

if they keep the the front part of original deathadder elite to this v3 pro this will be the best mouse ever for palm grip
