Honestly I'm quite happy that One Thousand Voices finally received its long overdue reserve buff, and I think the amount it was given was the perfect amount. A 50% increase in total damage is quite significant and you'll see in the video that this actually let's it compete with other options like Leviathan's Breath. However, there is the fact that stacking multiple 1Ks together isn't as optimal because the ignition damage is only credited to one person on the team, but regardless it's still a pretty solid option for Solos if you don't happen to have Dragon's Breath. Anyway, enjoy!

One of the nice things about 1k wasn't that it was a direct replacement for Rockets in DPS but something that had a good amount of ammo that could also be used for add clear. Funny enough,when it first came out I said it should get a catalyst that allows you to stay in the air while granting damage resist with deeper reserves and then they brought us the Manicore with that as it's featured perk. So I got my wish, pun intended, but now how I was expecting.

One thing to note is that base reserve is 11 and max reserves with mods is only 12. You only need 1 reserve perk to have full ammo

is there any significant difference between 1KV on its own, with ember of ashes, and with the artifact mod that currently applies scorch while radiant?

Also 1k doesn't need to head shot to get optimal usage unlike Leviathan. That adds another layer of laziness on top and some qol for certain bosses (like any hive witch boss that moves around a lot)

The ignitions from 1k also now do significantly more damage than before when radiant or in a well, since bungie just fixed the bug where ignitions would inherit the weapon's combatant damage scalar when a champion breaker effect was active. They didn't really make it sound like a big deal in the patch notes, but really any weapon that causes ignitions is a lot better now, except Dragon's Breath because of the high scalar on rocket launchers.

You should try it with Dawn chorus, the exotic was reworked and "scorch from all sources deals 200% increased damage"

when I got this thing it's became one of my most favorite heavy weapons in D2 outside of xenophage and arcius and winterbite, want something that can clear hordes with a single beam?, 1K got you covered, also want spicy boss damage as well?, 1K got you covered. it's basically if you took the dead space contact beam and threw it in the destiny universe, a energy weapon equivalent of a flamethrower.
