Thailand is one of the country where everywhere you can see motorbikes, big and small. You might even noticed that your favorite parts of your motorcycle is made in thailand as they have very large industry in motorcycle parts manufacturing.

Thailand is also the small bike drag racing capital of the world. You can see is most thailand cities there are racing tracks designed for each motorcycle class. In this video you can see its a mixed racing of different types and class of motorcycle. from 125cc to 1000cc motorcycles.

With these type of racing and race track style. Your engine size will not really matter as its a race of skills and talents. Just because you have the fastest bike in the track, That does not mean you will win the race! on the other side even if you have the smallest engine in the track, it also does not mean you will loose the race.

An example is this video where a 125cc yamaha mio scooter race with other bikes and it shows how nimble and equally fast to the 1000cc bigger bikes like honda CBR1000 and other brands like Kawasaki ninja, Yamaha R1 and Suzuki GSXR.

Its so funny and exciting to watch this small yamaha mio scooter to race with these big bikes.

WHO DO YOU THINK WILL WIN IN THIS RACE??

if your answer is the small bike, Lesson learned here is dont under estimate the small bikes, They can win in the race!!!

It's a go kart track. Of course the little bike (scooter) has the advantage. The big bikes don't get to rev up enough to operate in their sweet spot rev range.

He would have won but for the weight of all the groceries he had stashed under the seat!

Imagine this is what Rossi does now, he goes to race tracks with little scooters to destroy everything on the track

Подозреваю,что он именно это трассу хорошо освоил,тренеровался на ней до соревнований,от того и такой замечательный результат.ещё интересно было бы резину сравнить.и вес пилота.ну заставил понервничать коллег,красавец👏👏👏

This pretty much sums up how Valentino Rossi won the world championship on the M1 in the early years. Out manoeuvring faster machines… I don’t know why this came to mind. But, I thought i would share it. 😁 Who doesn’t love an Underdog taking on the challenge!?😉
  • This is a small go cart track. Remember the rake angle on a scooter is vert shallow. They will turn in like demons and carry momentum. The big bikes can’t get to top end. If the big bike riders dropped the triple tree down 20 to 30 mm they would shorten the overall bike length and turn in harder. But lose top end stability. They would even up the competition then. I remember having to do this on short tracks myself.

Not a track for the big bikes. A novelty race at the most.

I used to out lap 750's at Eastern Creek GP circuit (Sydney Australia) on an 85cc bike. (Honda RS85) No bike is faster through the twisty bits than a small capacity bike.

Centre of gravity and low weight squares with bend radius - hence outcome !
  • Con mas rectas largas creo que no podría con una de mayor cilindrada.

    やっぱり軽いヤツはコーナリングが強いな、 加速もある程度までは速いから楽しいけどコースが変われば……でも面白い。
