management: mastering the ego is the goal. It's there, and it's not going to go away.
  • Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It's truly fascinating. It can be challenging to remain impartial when considering ego transcendence because ego often serves as the root cause of much suffering in the world. When we're entrenched in ego, we're tuned into the "me, me, and ONLY ME" default mode network, perpetuating a cycle of self-centeredness. Throughout history and even today, many operate on autopilot, prioritizing their self-interest above all else. The shrewdest and most dominant egos manipulate others to maintain their power. They create division and heighten people's sense of ego. Divide and conquer is their motto. Your perspective has given me much to ponder. While I recognize that ego isn't inherently negative and can coexist harmlessly in some individuals, it's crucial to acknowledge its potential for harm. Education on the detrimental impacts of ego is vital, and meditation offers a path to transcend the false sense of self it creates.

i think anyone with a real enough ego has subtle quirks about them which people pick up on as being legitimate instead of falsified and thats what people are drawn/magnetised to

The ego is needed for certain situations , some people gotta hustle out of poverty , the problem is when the ego starts creating more problems and runs you
  • Fair push back. I wasn't sure what you would be saying. There's something to learn from both processes. Certainly tricky to discuss though. I think you did pretty well.
  • Ego is mainly concept of self. If there is some truth to it, sure more power to you if not, blunders can happen from being delusional.
