For the 24/25 school year, I chose Guest Hollow, Abeka, MasterBooks, and Horizons. My kids are going to be 17, 14, and 10.

UPDATE: I decided not to use the Horizons health curriculum. We are using Guest Hollow’s Jr Anatomy and Health so there isn’t a need for a separate health curriculum. In my state science and health are two separate subjects. Finding something that combines them makes life so much easier!

For fat head kids… what we are doing is… we have watched Super Size Me (I did go through and choose to skip some parts I didn’t think were appropriate for my kids), and now we are watching the Fat Head documentary. I think watching the 2 of those movies really provides for some great discussions on nutrition, personal responsibility, government intervention, media and advertising, so many great topics. (My kids are 11-15). So we skipped that book and are doing this instead.
