THIS WAS A BAD IDEA ! 4 coaches over 3 nights Glasgow to Gibraltar.

Publicado 2024-07-21
Using National Express Glasgow-London, Flixbus London-Paris and Paris-Madrid and Interbus Madrid to La Linea. Long coach itineraries are always an adventure. This adventure was a tough one. Will I ever try this type of itinerary again? #nationalexpress #flixbus #interbus

Filmed July 2024 | Glasgow, UK.

What did we learn? That Scott is tougher than the SAS and twice as crazy. Total admiration for the quality of your videos.

The driver London-Paris is the GOAT.. so much stress and problems on that journey and he still took time to help his passengers exit his coach
  • @AndrewHepburn
I never travel without noise cancelling headphones. It’s the only way to cope with fellow passengers talking, coughing, eating, playing music etc.

How is it possible to make a torturous journey like this into such a hilarious video? :D Well done Mr Manson, you're out there on your own with these, it was like I was there with you. Thankfully, I wasn't.

Good evening, my name is Rodrigo and I am from Argentina. If I read correctly, you are from the United Kingdom. I was in London last year and I really loved it. I was not only impressed by the city of London, but also by the kindness of the English people. They are very respectful. Moreover, I don't speak English (only a little), and the immigration officer was very kind and tried to answer my questions despite my poor English. She understood me, but there was one question for which I had to ask permission to use Google Translate. She was very respectful towards me. When I was outside the airport, I didn't know which train to take. I asked a gentleman, who I am sure was English, which train I should take. Not only did he tell me which one to take, but he also accompanied me and made sure I got on the right train. This is what made me fall in love with the United Kingdom the most.

I did London to Manchester Victoria Station on flixbus a few years ago. The journey was genuinely terrifying. Several passengers contacted the police as they were so afraid of his driving. He had several near misses and was constantly beeped at by cars, busses and trucks as he was driving so dangerously. He was also verbally abusive to passengers. I reported him (and sent videos) of his dangerous driving but flixbus denied any issue. I hope they get shut down. It's great to get inexpensive bus tickets but when the driver is irresponsible or as dangerous as our driver was, it's not worth the risk.

Funny how a bad idea turns into a great video. I'd never do this journey this way but hats off to Scott for showing us these options. Loved the background music - not obtrusive and a nice reminder of the final destination.

  • @DaveyPalmer1
That was tough going Scott. No pain no gain I guess and I'm sure your viewers enjoyed it. Thanks for taking one for the team! 😅

These kind of journeys you need to start well. The Glasgow to London night journey is a killer. That will set the tone for the rest of the journey
  • @Justino_de_Paula
I grew up in La Linea. Huge smile when I saw the inside of the bus station. Nice one Scott.

After your trip to Sofia, I'd have thought you'd have learned your lesson !
  • @youssef16844
I can just hear that Spanish busdriver blasting "Master Of Puppets" on repeat throughout the entire ride. 😂
  • @SarethGouthgate
Its the enormity of it all. "Here we are in Madrid". Having started in Glasgow. Its unbelievable. Bravo sir.

There is hell, and there is long distance bus travel. Give me an eternity in flames any day!
  • Can't thank you enough for posting this...as it reminds me why I fly BA to Gibraltar every time I go there.....
  • @tanya2448
You are crazy....Reminds me of my biggest coach trip, Perth to Melbourne Australia. That was 30 years ago I never done another overnight bus trip again. Still traumatised.
