I’ve had low self-esteem and low self-efficacy ever since I can remember. I’ve never been top of the class, strongest performing employee etc. But I’ve realized in terms of achievement, I’m on par with most people out there. I went to college and graduate school, have been employed since high school and have a family. It is because of perfectionism and a lack of external validation that I constantly feel like I’m not meeting expectations. I tell myself I’m only good if I exceed expectations, but never feel like I do. Now that I’ve got some awareness over this. I’d like to finally start feeling good about myself. Just need to undo 3 decades worth of negative self-talk.

"Humanity is truly perfect only through its imperfections." Our ability to live and learn is our greatest gift. When someone "messes up" I tell them "Congratulations! You are human." We all make mistakes. Living and learning is part of what makes us Human.
  • My self-esteem is more like self-doubt in disguise, like a rollercoaster going downhill most of the time.

I don't suffer from this condition, but I do have psychological and emotional challenges that are too perplexing and challenging to get into, but your channel does help a lot, and I'm thankful and grateful for that! My hero is any person that is compassionate, caring, giving, empathetic among many other attributes! Those people inspire me and give me hope that the best is yet to come! Have a great one!
  • @yeeyee.
its funny cause i’ve been making efforts on improving my self esteem (i’ve been doing great 💪) this video will also be a help. Thank you :) i find that self compassion is really important

The most important way to improve self esteem is to develop your own skills and abilities. Work hard to get better at something. Study harder and get better grades. Do a great job at work. Learn a new job skill. Get better at a musical instrument or artistic skill. Develop an athletic skill or lose weight through diet and exercise. Just work on yourself and get better. Avoid time-sucks on the internet. If you become more valuable to others, you will recognize your own worth.

I always go to this channel in times of need, like today, where I feel like I suck and the one thing a good at, swimming. This is helping me not break down whenever I go to the bathroom or see some sort of pool. Thank you so much ❤️

Incredible video @Psych2go! Despite how much I've grown, there's still so much more I can do to improve and build my self esteem. I've also realized that I still have a long way to go in gaining more confidence. In this video I really appreciated how you brought up that acknowledging events from our past can be beneficial for ourselves in moving forward. Additionally, you made a great point in how we need to acknowledge our strengths and weaknesses in order to appreciate how we are. Also a bit of a side note here, but having the phrase "you matter" at the end of some of your videos speaks volumes and truly does mean the world to everyone who watches them. So, I just wanted to once again say, thank you @Psych2go!

My hero is Abo Ubaidah who struggle to liberate his state from the villains. The world knows this. Their self esteem come from religion of truth no matter what. Great video today. Congrats

I got self esteem and self-love. Finally I love myself. I'm proud of myself. I'm stopped judging myself. Started celebrating all my wins. Spoke nicely about me to myself. Explored my style even more. Started doing skincare and make up. So I feel good, I feel pretty, I feel confident, I know I have hobbies, I know I got something to bring to the table, I've got qualities. This is what helped me. Hope this comment can help give you an idea of how you can work on yourselves and built up self-esteem

I’ve had low self esteem for as long as I can remember. When I was about like 7 years old, I remember having a breakdown in my house and kept telling myself that I’m a failure and I wish I was never born. I tried locking myself in my room for a week (didn’t work out), and when I was like 10 I would think about hurting myself often. All my life I had done what people told me to, let people invade my boundaries, etc. Now I get no sleep, I don’t eat, and I don’t take care of myself in general until I saw this video. Thank you so much Psych2Go, ❤ your videos always help out so much. And to everyone else, stay healthy and love yourself!
