Thinking about how to love yourself? Self love is more than just a trendy concept; it's a fundamental aspect of personal well-being and mental health. It goes beyond indulging in occasional treats or pampering—it's about cultivating a deep, genuine appreciation for yourself.

Self-love is not a destination; it's a journey that grows through consistent, positive actions and a mindful attitude towards oneself. It's a holistic approach that encompasses self-awareness, recognizing your inherent self-worth, boosting self-esteem, and prioritizing self-care.

Establishing self-love can be transformative, but it's not an overnight process. It involves small, intentional steps that accumulate over time. So here are a few fundamental steps to love yourself.

  • I always think negatively about myself because of my past and mistakes, but I'm trying my hardest to forgive myself each and every day.

Always remember: if you look at your past self and feel disgusted and bad about your past actions. It means you’ve grown as a person.

When you said "dating yourself" like, LITERALLY! Treat yourself like you would treat the love of your life!! Thats how I started to truly love myself.

True self love comes from within, rather than external things.

Treat yourself like you would treat others really got me. You wouldn’t tell your friend to just eat snacks for dinner if they came over. You wouldn’t leave your house a dirty mess if they were coming. You also wouldn’t tell them they look fat or that they are a bad parent or that they’re not worthy of love. You wouldn’t! So stop telling yourself those things and stop treating yourself like you don’t deserve a real dinner or a clean house because you do deserve those things to! 😢

remember guys you wanting to "learn" to love yourself is the biggest sign that you already love yourself, you're just lost and don't worry, its all gonna be alright 💌🌷💗

One most important thing for me to love yourself, be real and enjoy the moment. Just let the moment crystallize 😁❤️

I can not believe I just stumbled upon this at this moment!- I have struggled with depression/ self - hate for most of my life; and unfortunately my family fostered and nurtured this dynamic- "if bad things happen to you, it's because you are a bad person" (that sort of thing-- I have realized, while currently in my 50's this is not the life I deserve- taking blame for everything and more importantly, not taking care of myself no matter who disagrees or tried to convince me I am not worth it---- I am so grateful to psych to go- it was here when I first affirmed I was an HSP, not a wimp as many have tried to make me feel. I love the gentle manner in which you present information and encouragement; and how you foster self - love and unconditional acceptance- for no one is perfect, after all! This is just what I needed to (re)learn how to begin loving myself; while identifying areas where I need more practice---- THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I believe you are saving lives! P.S. the ambient music was a nice touch ;) Thanks Again!❤❤❤❤

I am working with a therapist right now who gave me a daily self-love journaling packet. This video was very appropriate and applicable for me....thank you.
  • @SilverCat68
Just think of yourself as the main character. yes, it might not be healthy to think yourself above others, but it helped me build confidence, and nobody liked me in school anyways so i had nothing to lose

Thank you for this video I have suffered from low self esteem all my life and I am 43 now and it's very sad it's like it will never end 😢

Wow, this video came at the right moment. This weekend I tried researching a bit on how to love and embrace my most authentic self, instead of holding myself back because of my insecurities. I really hope that this February I can start with a more positive outlook in life.
  • @hdezines
I love that bit that we can use our own love language on ourselves♡
  • @gulagbatman1318
IMO: Demanding respect from others isn't self love. Respect is earned and not everyone will give it. Self love is respecting yourself, and standing up for yourself when others wrong you or talk down to you. This doesn't mean you have to be rude. This is only a part of self love though. The part that I know. ❤
