I love how this is the story about a random hermit in the forest who had some sort of hallucinations at night so he found a village, obsessed over a woman, murdered every man in her life, basically gas-lighted her into leaving her home, then married her in another village, exploited her as well as his own children while trying to gain political power and praise by other people, until he eventually made everyone incredibly miserable, and when they caught up to his bullshit and became a public enemy, they exiled him from the village, as he went back to what he always was: a lone, wild animal with severe dementia that would literally distort his world before changing himself.
