F1 - Official Teaser Trailer (2024) - Reaction

It's a fictional story and the (fictional) team is called ApexGP. It's part them in the car, but obviously a lot of trickery about how fast they were actually going, inserted backgrounds and shots of other cars, etc. And the cars they were driving were modified F3 cars, made to look like F1 cars. They've been filming during a couple of race weekends over the last year, intermingling with the regular F1 goings on. In the shot with all the drivers next to each other, for the national anthem at the start of the race (at 0:51), you can see current F1 champion Max Verstappen standing next to Damson Idris (the black actor). They shot that at an actual start and just stood next to the drivers and filmed it.

The trailer is so shit, I hate the music choice aswell! cool shots tho, they have superimposed their car onto another car from an onboard camera in some scenes, while others are a full car. The story itself is just fiction, no real team or story. It's basically Driven (2001) but F1.
