I have a steam boiler that's constantly taking on water which I think could be caused by the cooled water not being returned to the boiler. The site glass will be full and once I drain it down to half way in the glass, sometimes the boiler will kick on, calling for heat. Rather than the cooled water not returning to the boiler, could there be an air pocket issue in the system, causing the boiler to take on water? I also had an incident where it took on so much water that the water pushed all the way up some pipe going up into the attic and then dispensed the water up there. That water then came down thru ceilings and walls. What a horrible mess I had. So can you help me?

So do I need to turn my boiler on to cycle water or refill the system again?
  • i live in a manufacture home / double trailer home. my water comes from underground/well water and i notice that the water comes with a lot of pressure like for example when i turn my sink on that water has alot of pressure? idk if that makes sense.. but, anyways my point is my water does not last hot for more then just a few min if that.. and after like 5 min or less of pure hot water it turns cold cold... so idk whats the problem i hope i can figure it out? i blame the couple things. 1. the pressure makes it run out of hot water quickly 2.the boiler might need replacement or might need a bigger one 3. the water just comes out too cold from underground that the boiler just cant heat it up for too long... oh and another thing i dont have gas in my house... (my type is a heater tank)not like in this video...

What about hot water(non steam) boilers with no sight glass in flooded systems. Same idea? Pump as well?

Hi there, We have a forced hot water system, and we have been very low on water this year. Major drought.......My question is, when the heating system calls for the water to heat through the house, does the water just keep recycling or does it keep drawing more water?

How does it needs vent? Coz we've been having problems with it. High co. And its the 4thday today. That we have to be visited ny either the fireman or a technician so far on the 4th day someone got it figured out. That it just need a fresh air and a bigger space coz apparently the boiler is bigger than the space it has.

Reach out if you can... I think I may have a really cool use for your old boilers before they hit the scrap piles. I don't make videos, don't want the credit, just want the info out there so people recycle correctly.. I'll await your email for a week, then find someone else who wants to make cash off my ideas.
