  • Watching this from the comfort of my own home makes me appreciate my freedom stay out of trouble people...
  • As someone who has been to prison, I can tell you there are plenty of violent prisoners that have to be locked down by themselves.

Sending people to Rikers for NON violent crimes is absolutely ridiculous.
  • I was in a facility for 8 years. I have great respect for many guards who treated me like a human being. This treatment helped me change my perspective on life. Solitary confinement makes people go crazy in time.

“they treat us like animals” throws feces at the officer

If you think it was bad then, it's completely insane now. I work for a public defender and my clients regularly report getting cut, gangs run units, and most of the people there haven't even been convicted of anything. It's crazy.
  • All ANY of us can say is, "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time," BUT I feel the plight of a lot of these guys being in the legal field myself, so I pray that these brothers can find a positive way and stay away from prison by getting some help.

  • @primalrefleks
Why would you put a non-violent person in this environment.
