Publicado 2020-06-23
This video is a thorough review of Heckler and Koch's USP series of pistols, provided from my extensive background as an Armorer and Instructor of Heckler and Koch weapons.
Many thanks for Chris for loaning me a few H&K beauties for the filming.

Searched USP millions of times on YouTube. Never found this. what a shame

This makes me feel better about the 1000 I spent today on a USP 45 Expert. 😃

Hands down my favorite pistol! My first pistol was the HK USP .45 Tactical, that's where the obsession began and has since increased to the HK 9mm Compact and now the HK USP .40 Looking to add the 9 mm full size soon along with the 9mm ELITE and Expert models as well!

Incredible video. Thank you! This proves to me my choice of the USP 9 and .40 Compact were great choices.

The USP is where my obsession with H&K began. I've owned a lot of different brands of pistols, but my USP never failed me. I have since sold most of the other brands off for the other lines of H&K's. I bought the P2000, the P30 and the VP lines. Each one is just as reliable and great engineering. So now I just HAD to buy the P7M8. THAT was expensive but, I'm glad I have it. Thanks for the info
  • James, can't tell you how much I appreciate these videos. The USP was the first gun I fell in love with, and one of the first I bought when I began acquiring and training with firearms (VP9 beat it out!) It's still an absolute favorite. But you know how gun guys are, always on to the next thing, always shopping... This kind of video helps me slow down, appreciate what I have, get more depth. You taught me a lot about the mechanical functioning of the type (especially the safety systems!), a lot about the industrial-historical context in which it arose, and about the variants that have come and gone before my time as a firearms enthusiast. I look forward to having my ducks in a row such that I can throw money at you and do some real in-person armorer-type training on the USP and other HK platforms.

An exhaustive wealth of information here… definitely subscribed, so glad I found this channel, and thank you! As I watched this and your P2000 video, there is a resounding theme of “reliable design innovation” when you look back at these ground-breaking H & K designs, and I have (as I’m sure many do already) a new respect for the design work and concepts, and respect them even more for what they achieved when they did. It really puts a new perspective on some of the “garbage guns” that are sold nowadays. I would rather depend my life on any USP/P2000 over pretty much anything sold now.

My first firearm I ever purchased was a USP40 with a stainless slide. I still have it. It runs better than a clock.

Holy cow, 2 plus hours on one of my favorite pistols. Long live the USP! Thx for the great video

Every handgun I've handled and shot, aside from the FNX45, The USP has always been my favorite go to handgun and is definitely a solid product from Heckler & Koch.

I was introduced to the USP through the Rainbow Six series of games as a kid. Never used them while in the military unfortunately. Finally bought one and I totally love it. My USP 45. V3 is my EDC and its awesome
  • You literally talked me into it sir. I knew I wanted it, but I was torn between the USP 40 or the HK 45. You videos settled my debate so my first HK was the USP. Side note…I’m still gonna get the HK45. In the 15 some odd years I’ve viewed YouTube, this was my first ever comment.
  • @TMOGTO
HK Master Race!! Great video! Absolutely adore the USP series!
  • @Radionicist
"air-cooled", very nice! This is another in your line of encyclopedic videos, a true resource for HK aficionados - thank you!
  • @slyfoot0605
Absolutely the very best HK video I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I’m definitely hooked

Youtube needs to improve their search engine. This video should have a million views!

Excellent overview. Thank you for all of this information. I just recently had a USP Compact 9mm date stamped AB fall into my lap. The more I shoot it, dry fire it and handle it, the more I like it. I love the ergos of the VP9 but there is something about this USP Compact that just satisfies a portion of my brain I didn't know existed.
  • @Hardball230gr
The Best breakdown on the venerable Usp I've come across. Thank you sir!
  • @paulmears5330
thorough and factually exacting, that's the trick. Perfect!
