This was one of the greatest. Olazabal was different class. I sat in a packed boozer watching this and at this moment, it went silent. Some fellas bowed their heads, some welled up, a few even loosened the washers. Something very special about the Ryder Cup. Come on Europe.

This Ryder won’t ever be beaten. My daughter was 3 days old and laying in her cot beside me whilst I watched and tried to contain myself. Poulter inspired that team along with Olly to grab the win for Seve. Some of the finest golf and team spirit I have ever witnessed. The Ryder cup is special. RIP Seve.

One of the greatest interviews in sport .
  • Poulter… one of the greatest Ryder Cup Players of the modern era. Now nothing more than a sellout. The spirit of Seve was there that day. He helped the boys to victory.

A man who lost his best friend finds the strength, through that loss, to go on and lead Europe to victory. What a legend Jose is. Seve lives ON!

I must have seen this interview hundreds of times since that day and my eyes always fill up when Olly remembers Seve, such emotion in that moment thinking about his friend and what the Ryder Cup meant to him. Both it and the Solheim Cup are such special competitions. Come on Europe!

If somebody is not moved with these words must have a heart of stone or not heart at all. Sometimes people in Spain don't realize how BIG was Seve. Before winning at football, basketball, cycling, tennis, etc. Seve was the best known spanish athlete during the 80's and our best ambassador in the world of sports. Thanks for the upload.

Seve & Olly - that's an unbeatable spirit : Seve best natural talent ever & Olly was his apprentice. Bound to win, even from the jaws of defeat. Amazing

Seve’s thumb was on the scales giving the Europeans the preponderance. This may well have been the greatest Ryder Cup.
