Day In The Life Of A Building Inspector | Inspector Series

Published 2023-01-03
Ever wondered what a building inspector does all day? This is a quick dive into my average day as a building and plumbing inspector for a mid-sized city. Here I spend a little time talking about what my typical day is like and what is generally expected of me. Hey Ben- Pretty sweet channel, lots of info! I was curious if you could do a video and go into a little more detail on what your experience was like on prepping for your Plans Examiner and Bldg Inspector certifications. Did you take any prep courses? Were you also required to take city/state level certs like Principles and Practices or was it all done thru the ICC? Thanks in advance!

I've moved out of teaching and am working as a park ranger and I have learned that my preferred mode of work is jumping in the truck and banging out jobs. What education did you receive to get into this field, please Ben?
