Jack Skellington, also known as the "Pumpkin King", is the main protagonist of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas and all Nightmare Before Christmas media.
Jack is a tall skeleton who wears a black pin-striped suit, complete with a bat bow-tie and black dress shoes.

He has earned the title of Pumpkin King by being terrifying to humans (but never harming them), a clearly well-earned title as it appears he is even able to scare the monsters that occupy the town. He lives in Halloween Town, a world based solely on the holiday of Halloween.

Is it just me, or is Jack Skellington one of the cutest Tim burton characters I have ever seen
  • @sai7682
he looked way better in the nightmare before Christmas than in other movies/shows. my opinion
  • @maskofmany9208
He only had one true movie but his legacy stayed true, he has lasted unlike any other character in history

This is more of a compilation of cameos/appearances than an evolution.
  • @Austroid
I doubt the Princess and the Frog shadow was him. If he had the bat bow-tie then it'd make more sense.

I was so surprised how detailed the family guy cut away gag of nightmare before halloween was. It looks like a legitimate rendition of the movie with the original monsters instead of just bootleg monster as background characters. Like if it was a real animated version of the movies made by a legit studio instead of a parody.

I thought he was only in the nightmares before Christmas

When Family Guy puts more effort into their cutaways than they do actual plot.

I like how (MOST) Disney movies/shows have little references, while the ones that aren’t licensed by Disney ( South Park, Robot Chicken, etc ) just straight up have him as a character
  • Jack decides that Halloween wasn’t enough for him and decides to be a captain of a pirate ship, this failed so he decided to go back to doing Halloween.
