Is a congressman pulling a fire alarm during a vote considered obstruction?
  • @andrewmo49
When you have someone in jail for years without a conviction, that is just WRONG.
  • The Government wants to push a double standard depending on who it is. This attorney is trying to distort the interpretation.
  • @BibleLifeMaui
The lawyer sounds so arrogant. Talking over Justice Alito and condescending to boot.

Would pulling a fire alarm to disrupt an official House proceeding be an insurrection?
  • Trump asked for National Guard help so why was it refused. Something does not sound right.

Shut this entire Government Down! The double standards have gone way way way too Far.

The Jan 6 PROTESTERS are political prisoners period, nobody should be spending YEARS in prison over it. There was a retired police chief who also served in the military who got 11 YEARS and he never entered the building, it's disgusting.
  • What if an ambulance was stopped on the bridge and a patient died because of the protesters? They are not following order in society. I do not think protests should be allowed to block traffick or business at all. We are to take our grievances to our representatives, not create mob unrest.

What Alito proved is what we all know. A TWO TIER justice system. It all depends on the interpretation of the prosecutor. If a prosecutor WANTS to charge someone, then they can INTERPRET a statue anyway they choose. In almost all cases, the defendant wont have the resources to properly defend themselves so they will be found GUILTY. Yet another prosecutor can show preferential treatment depending upon various reasons such as venue, etc. This is why uniformity is essential to the rule of law. If the rule of law is subjective, then the execution of justice is contingent upon other factors other than the law.

Keep fighting for truth and justice Honorable Alito!
  • Release them all. Double standards. Democrats go free. Republicans go to jail.
