My son just got married and this was our song for our mother son dance. We are 4 generations of metallica fans. I had a hard time not crying the whole song. I had no idea he picked it for us. So much love for him.❤❤❤

Learned this the same day i started talking to my crush. I played a few parts of it every now and then for her. She started loving the song. Saying "oh i want my future man to play this for me". Yesterday i had a supet romantic Dream abt her. We had been in a magical forest, ridden on a magical horse over a lake with beautiful stars, sat down and looked at animals on a field. Woken up and told her abt it. She liked me to. Today i learned the other half of the song in 2 hours including the solo and played it for her while singing the vocals too. This song played on the radio while driving home after I had to leave my dog in the animal clinic. Nobody knew if she would survive the surgergy and the odds were bad, so needless to say, this song hit hard in that moment. She luckily made it, against all odds, but I still get goosebumps and have to think back to that moment whenever I hear this song. Giving her good belly scratches right now and think how happy I'am, that she's still with me.

What hurts the most is when you find someone who changes your whole life without even looking...only to be driven away because others can't accept our love...we both lost our self-respect and I don't know if anyone can ever understand our love but God. She's everything I ever hoped for. She's everything I desire. I know Gods timing will unite us together someday. I cry and pray every day for her. I never listened to Metallica until now. In High School it appeared that only the druggies listened to this. As a grow older, one thing is clear, I need to rethink and critically analyze everything I was ever taught about anything. The journey has been an amazing wake up call across the entire ecosystem of my existence.

The lyrics have a deeper meaning than many people would believe. Thank you for the inspiration.

Thinking of doing a photo montage with this song as a backdrop. Photos of our little boy over the 2 1/4 years of his battle with leukemia... His treatment ended last June. As I look back and reflect on that rather difficult period in our lives, I can't believe he went through that. I hope that's it. Never again...
