Unless Nintendo says it, don’t listen to this 🤡

Since the Nintendo switch successor is going to be better than the Nintendo switch in terms of power, it’s a given that the charger would draw more wattage. A cooler inside the switch dock would be a good idea.
  • Longest wait of a switch successor that never seems to becoming out and specs that are forever changing like the winds

6:35 Now I want strawberries. Suggestion is a powerful weapon. 😨
  • Man it’s really dry out there for Nintendo Youtubers lol 😂
  • that 60w looks like its needed for a power hungry hi end component like the cpu/gpu/ram. im not concerned with a cooling system, ofcourse cooler temperature leads to less baterry usage but you dont need that when your docked. the 60w requirement for internal hardware looks promising 🎉

If this really comes true, I already see the drama from users that use 3rd party "docks" that don't work like Nintendo intended it to do and break their consoles.

Im officially done watching videos that say switch 2 in the title

I can't get excited about the Nintendo Switch Successor, until Nintendo official releases the specs. I'd like to know how much VRAM is included, the video graphics processor used, video quality when undocked, and battery life.

Yeah, no, wont be clicking Switch 2 videos for a while until we get news from Nintendo
  • I hope the joy cons will be magnetic and strong too not loose but it feels strong and forced when you attach and detach them from the console it’s a brilliant idea for Nintendo to not skip on i don’t like the rails on standard switch.
  • Pokémon will never be the same on these more powerful switch 2’s

Tell me what is so exciting about a charger? So far i know we live in 2024 and everyone knows what a charger is
  • Tangential to the video, but I didn't know the copper heat pipes were more than a chunk of metal, so now I have something to look into for teaching thermo. So, thanks for the Switch 2 news and for the physics example! (If this becomes an actual problem they have to compute, my students may be less thankful lol).

If the original Switch is anything to go by (based on how much wattage headroom Nintendo prefers on their chargers), then we should expect to see this console drawing AT LEAST up to 30 watts. What's interesting is that, based on current PC handhelds like the Rog Ally, most of the high performance efficiency is around the 28 watt range. After that, power consumption goes through the roof for negligible performance gains. Switch 2 will obviously run on different architecture, but if around 30W is the max draw, then it makes sense that Nintendo is selecting a wattage where they are able to get high performance for docked mode, obviously less efficiency than handheld mode, but not necessarily terrible. Remember, this console is expected to get fairly close to Series S performance in docked more. Getting anywhere near that performance threshold would make 4mn/5MN an absolute NECESSITY! Even if we take Series S comparison out of the picture, this report only further leans in the direction other tidbits were already pointing to. There's no way this console can support the type memory we see in the shipping details, decent 1080p screen, the fairly lofty target specs, updated Joy-Con with magnetic system, and all the other things that draw power... And STILL be on an 8nm process. Nvidia, Arm, and Nintendo are good, but that'll require miracle, or at least never-before-seen tech. It's much easier to just use a smaller node.😕

All they need is 1080p 60fps in handheld mode dock any higher will be a luxury

What excites me most is that artificial pricing on Switch (1) equipment will be dropping.
