I like this sound so much more than the later stuff
  • I wish they would tour and play only the first 3 albums. That would be a rocking show.

Love the Laurence Olivier style narration at the start.

One of the few Leppard songs that actually sounds like heavy metal.

Def Leppards take on the the Apocalyse is highly underrated !

I'll go a step further than Fluffy. This is their best album.

Under-rated song. It's pretty much my favourite song from On through the night

In ancient times, Hundreds of years before the dawn of history Lived a strange race of people, the Druids No one knows who they were or what they were doing

I had never listened to their first album. Picked them up after High and Dry and loved Pyromania and Hysteria. I definitely hear Leppard in this album. however, interestingly, in this one in particular i hear shades of prog rock (particularly RUSH). Sorrow is a woman and this track in particular i hear the prog influence in here, but giving it a more heavy metal sound.

I wish they themselves appreciated the great shit that came out of this first album. Such good fucking music that laid the roots for the good shit they did onward. But goddamn , I have seen them live and they are awesome still now. I just wish they appreciated and embraced the magic they made with this album
