I’m literally befuddled at the level of talent in this woman. She’s an absolute star. And I love the fact she conducts herself as such. What an amazing human being.

Her bashful expression during the faltered yodel cracked me up! Oh the perils of NOT lip-synching! On the subject of NOT lip-synching: she's amazing in concert. Total, powerful vocal control with the sweetest sound on record.

This is why she is the queen of Tenessese. long live Miss Dolly.
  • @tarp11z
She's unspeakably great. The studio version of this song has to be one of the best in recorded music history, in any genre.
  • @Lightningslick
I never realized how much I liked country music until I watched Ken Burns new documentary. And Jimmie Rogers was deep. Long live Jimmie Rogers.

That Yodel! Dolly, you never cease to amaze me with that voice that has laughter, sunshine and ease in it. I came here because of your singing in the closing credits of Ken Burns' film on country music. Much love!

When I was a little black kid growing up in Philly, I lovvveeddd Hee Haw! Especially because they would sing these type of songs! Dolly i think was too big to be on Hee Haw by the time i started watching in the late 70s, I always wished she'd do thesr type of songs... So this is amazing!! If u haven't watched Country Music by Ken Burns, you're missing maybe the top 3 documentaries of all time! I don't even regularly listen to Country, and I loved every second of it!! And Dolly was hella cute, goodness lol

Born natural. Gifted. All she has to do is just turn up and start singing and what follows is magic.
  • I would like to thank Country Music PBS and Ken Burns for introducing me to this and many other great songs. It's a wonderful documentary about country music I highly recommend. Dolly Parton is a national treasure.
