Very balanced and realistic assessment by Michael Johnson. Michael was always the exception to the traditional antics and arrogance of American athletes. He just dominated his event, thanked the crowd then exited the stadium gracefully.Nuff love and respect Sir.🎉

This is the only genuine person talking about my Jamaica I love it.

Michael Johnson is a student of the sport, and it shows by his analysis. As a Jamaican, I always want to see our athletes win, but I can appreciate the brilliance of some of our American rivals. Ultimately, I think each nation pushes each other as a result of the rivalry, making the sport that much more enjoyable.

None of these two countries will lie down dead and give up. When you beat US or Jamaica, you did really well.

I love what Micheal Johnson has accomplished in the past for Track & Field. I enjoy how commited Michael is for Track professions to be compensated for their excellence. I appreciate your vision in prize money being awarded equally for men and women athletes. Let's go Grand Slam Track! ❤👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

This is fair and balanced commentary. I always enjoyed watching Michael Johnson run. It was like he was sitting comfortably while running 😀

I am Jamaican. This rivalry is what makes track and field. Track and field is about competition and these two nations continue to keep the excitement in the sport. 3M to 330M population is crazy.

Very well said. It's time someone mentions the REAL history.

Yes we a numba one Jamaica to the world 🇯🇲 🌎

Michael Johnson has always called it fair and square, he and Ato Bolden are the only two commentators who I will listen to with an open mind.

As a Jamaican living in America I always admired the american sprinters. I wanted to marry Gwen Torrence and Evelyn Ashford in my dreams. I actually saw Gwen in person in Jamaica but was too young and shy. LOL hahahahaah

Hell, go back to '48 and '52 Olympics, the era of McKinley, Wint, and others!

Right on point. The rivalry didn't start today. I remember it began withe the women in 1992 where we had Merlene Ottey from Jamaica against Gaile Devers of USA. It was intense and then came the men with Asafa Powell in the 2000s. Now the Jamaican rivalry has come to stay and this is good for the sports.

Noah Lyles about to be humbled

Even Michael Johnson said Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce is the G.O.A.T. when it comes to the women 100m... Argument finish... Hail Shelly the real G.O.A.T. of female sprinting.
