A glimpse in the day of an Rural Mail Carrier!!

This is a look at what the life of an RCA is like. I stated in this video, but want to make sure it is described here that I am currently on a hold down. That means that I am currently running the route 5 days a week. I am open to making other video's to describe the job if you have questions. I am going to for sure make a few video's detailing some other things that I find important for this job. If you're interested in getting a job as an RCA or are just starting, I have some great information that I will be sharing in the future. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy!!

  • As an rca I had a hold down after a month on the job. Had to learn it quick. After a year, I enjoyed helping on other routes and other offices. Not a bad gig, looking at retirement soon# Best of luck to all new employees!
  • I'm putting in my fingerprints next week, so i hope orientation is soon following that
  • Thanks for the drive! I remember driving my Ford explorer from the passenger side with my left hand and foot! Drive llv now.
  • Sure enjoyed seeing what you're day is like. Beautiful country Thomas Vojta Long Island NY.
  • Thank you for video/ Ok your Jeep is Right Hand Drive. That is interesting. I am wondering if I can put mails into the Mail Boxes by using Reacher Grabber and driving a regular Left hand drive vehicle ? Is it possible?
  • I just applied for a couple of RCA jobs in my area and I’m hoping and praying to score an interview! If I happen to get the job, I’m going to look for an old right hand drive Wrangler. Loved your “day in the life” video! Gave me a good idea of what it would be like!

Great video, do you still work for the usps? I am so tired of private security work, I am going to try and get a job for the usps it looks like fun I know exhausting as a job but being a RCA being by yourself not having to deal with other workers you get to entertain yourself I think that would be great. If you are still working for the usps make some more videos. I noticed you had a TN tag what part do you live in? I live in SC and have a home in western NC. Looking forward to hearing from you great channel keep up the great work..Mark
  • With current gas prices $4+ per gallon, is operating a Cherokee still a viable option?
