Abstract watercolour bullet journal theme - Archer and Olive notebook

Published 2024-07-05
I've combined watercolour, metallic watercolour and gouache paints in this monthly layout in my journal, that includes a title page, weekly logs, trackers and daily diary.

The lettering guide can be found on my Pinterest lettering board at www.pinterest.com.au/rubymadeit/lettering/

I was very impressed how well my Archer & Olive coped with the huge amount of water I put on each page. No bleed through and very little warping of the page! Nice!!! - I like the abstract, plus your layouts and color coding on edges of page I have been using the Hobonichi cousin - love the paper but don’t really need/use the pre-printed items on the pages I like having the whole year in one book - but am finding I use it less and less as the year progresses - not sure why I am doing that - but it has happened two years in a row now - so think I need to try something different I seem to not be able to restrict myself to only decorating/ setting up pages for one month at a time - I tend to design my whole year in one mega sitting - stamps, washi, markers and paint - so my book is super chunky before I have even begun writing in it - which means it is cumbersome on day one and then gets more and more chunky as I really start using the pages ( but I do love the feel of a well used planner) seriously considering using 12 smaller notebooks and thinking then I could restrain myself to just decorating for the month As I type this I am formulating my plan 🤪😁 will try an A5 traveler notebook system - then I could have one that is all the months and days laid out for the year and then one that is just for the current month with my monthly pages, etc I love the feel of tomoe river paper after it has been written on - which is why I have been using the hobonichi. - think I need to educate/expose myself to other paper types So funny to see you cold in July - I am in South Florida and it is so hot and humid here It looks beautiful where you are
