My Vice- Principal in JR High was a descendent of Quanah Parker, he looked just like Quanah Parker.. His name was Quanah Cox.. He has passed on awhile ago, but he was a real good man..

I'm a descendant of Cynthia's brother John Parker. It's great to see this gathering of distant relatives!

Ever since that reunion the Parker family reunion has gone back and forth between Ft. Parker and Cache, Oklahoma, where Quanah lived.
  • It's amazing to go to the Parker Reunion every year just about. I only missed 5 out of 29 since I been alive. around 2010 year on the 3rd weekend in July, I remember John Parker talking at the reunion in Comanche Indian. I only understood a few words

The first people....we should live like they did...the way they treated each other. Family is the key to this country, lose the key then what........peace
  • Ben Parker in the newsreel was the son of John Parker and sister of Irena Parker Bennett.   Some of those in attendance would have been Stokes and Laura Ben Parker Kennedy, Cora Shaw both daughters of Irena Parker and Benjamin Parker Jr.    Emma Lou and I attended the reunion at Fort Parker State Park in 1957.  The Kennedys, Clara Parker Gilmore, Virginia and TR Ward, The Shaw Family and many other decedents of Irena and Benjamin Jr. were there. Thanks for the newsreel about the  Parker Reunion.    The white Parkers meet every third weekend in July at Parker State Park near Grosebeck Texas

I have an original large silver gelatin photo taken 1900’ of A few of Quanah’s family all women & children with a Methodist minister his wife and young teenage daughter that married Quanah’s younger son White Parker. The elderly granddaughter shown in this video is in the photo.
