I can’t even describe what my life has been like in the past 6 months, let alone the previous years. I just know I never want to experience anything like it again. I’ve been through enough in my life. I truly want nothing to do with anything from the past. All I want now is a peaceful existence, I don’t care about anything else. People and their opinions don’t matter, I don’t care what anyone else does in their lives, I’m going to live my life, my way and on my terms. I can sum up what it feels like fairly easily by saying that I feel like I’m having to endure someone else’s karma.

This chick was all like...”You are going through a midlife crises...” I’m like, “ Yeah, I am. I’ve gone through many crises. I will also have more as I age...” Meditation is the best way for me to deal with these. Thanks!!

I'm suspect that the content of Bruce Feiler's talk is his own, since the term "LifeQuake" was coined in 2009 by Dr. Toni Galardi, author of the book "The LifeQuake Phenomenon." It looks like Bruce lifted virtually all the key elements from her book, including its "7 Steps," "Tool Kit," "Rewriting your Story," and even her Italian expressions! (And he's not even Italian.) Are we truly to believe that he developed these exact phrases on his own?
