Zack Snyder's Justice League (colloquially referred to as the Snyder Cut) is the 2021 director's cut of the 2017 American superhero film Justice League, the fifth film set within the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) based on the team of the same name appearing in DC Comics publications. It is intended to match director Zack Snyder's original vision for the film, prior to his departure from the production and subsequent studio interference. The film follows Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Superman (Henry Cavill) as they form an alliance to stop the extradimensional New God Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds) and his army of Parademons from conquering Earth for his overlord Darkseid (Ray Porter).

  • Fun Fact: Despite directorial credits, Zack Snyder has never actually seen the theatrical cut of Justice League (2017). Reportedly, his wife Deborah Snyder and his good friend and executive producer Christopher Nolan advised him to never see it, as it would "break his heart."
  • @seanpatrickcain2
Fun Fact: Barry refers to Diana as "Wonder Woman." This is the first time that name is spoken in a DCEU film.
  • Clark: How did you gets the house back from the bank? Bruce: I bought the bank with my Bat-Credit Card.
  • @GUNUFofficial
Old steppenwolf looks like his name is brad and he'd crash on superman's couch after darkseid fires him.
  • @HisVirusness
The second time Miles Dyson sacrificed himself in service of stopping the apocalypse.

"Look, up in the sky! It's a bird!" "It's a plane!" (And here I want Tamara's character to sigh and look up) "No, that's Superman..." (Camera pans out, Doug's superman is in the sky just 10 feet away) "You guys need some better prescriptions..."

Steppenwolf: "Channel Awesome, I've come to bathe in your fear!" Nostalgia Critic: "Critics of Walker, show him your fear!" CA: "WE HAVE NO FEAR!"

Thank you for making Supermonth a success. I genuinely think this is some of Snyder's best work and it's my favorite DCEU movie. I especially love what he did with Cyborg. He can control the world's machines through this digital world in his mind and the first thing he does with it is watch a struggling single mother and give her a bunch of money. He went form the most boring character in the Whedon version, to the most interesting and my favorite.

18:24 That meant that Lois Lane was the key to making Superman regain his humanity like that one episode in the animated series where, in a different dimension Superman started to work for lex because she died
  • Another Fun Fact: Victor Stone/Cyborg was originally described as the "heart of the movie" by Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder, but Joss Whedon controversially cut most, if not all, of Cyborg's storyline for the theatrical version. Victor's plot line is restored in this version.
  • I still can't get over Whedon having Batman say: "Yep. Something is definitely bleeding." I don't even watch superhero films and even I thought that this was too goofy, even for the MCU!
  • @douglasrau5094
Yeah, who would go to the trouble of filming an entire movie and then not release it? Batgirl: Am I a joke to you?
  • @SilverScribe85
If even a U.S. senator is calling out the stupidity of Warner's tax write-offs, it's all the more reason why David Zsaslav should be fired as leader of the company
  • @nemesis2345
Fun Fact: That unidentified woman standing next to Darkseid and Desaad is supposed to be Granny Goodness, one of the zanier dc villains and one of the many zany subordinates of Darkseid
  • @claytonrios1
Snyder may be a complete joke with some of his projects, Hello Rebel Moon but I can't deny that I enjoyed this version of Justice League way more than Josstice League.
  • @Zenn_Chan
Not gonna lie, that stuff with Cyborg SEEING the internet, makes me REALLY want a modern Shadowrun movie. THAT is exactly what that's supposed to look like
  • @FATE522
The difference between the Justice League cuts are night and day. I'm so grateful Snyder got to have it made. Every artist deserves really to have their story be told for better or worse. Regardless of how long the film is and repetitive camera work usage, it's still pretty damn phenomenal what we got here.
