The FALL of OpTic Gaming

Instead, it used sponsorship money to pay its players and personalities, to fund its expansion into other titles, and to create compelling videos. It was simply a group of guys who enjoyed competing at video games and creating content.
Spearheaded by Hector “H3CZ” Rodriguez, #OpTicGaming found itself at the forefront of gaming content on YouTube and a major figure in #esports through Call of Duty. Over the years, it acted as an internet celebrity factory, spawning a number of #gaming superstars such as Matthew “Nadeshot” Hague, Ian "Crimsix" Porter and Seth “Scump” Abner.
Before it received major backing, the only competition that the organisation had was in FaZe Clan and that too was because of a well-crafted blend of excelling in both content and competition. However, once Neil Leibman, Co-owner of Texas Rangers invested in November 2017, things changed drastically.
Moving away from shared houses that acted as both a living quarters and hotbed of content in Chicago, H3CZ and his army of online celebrities jumped ship to Frisco, Texas to begin the next chapter in OpTic Gaming’s story.
What transpired over the next 18 months, however, may have cut the legendary brand’s legacy short and resulted in its degradation and potential demise. But how this did all happen, and so soon?

hecz needs to get investors and start over. Take the cod team and content creators and rebuild. Hecz has a loyal following.
-
OpTic wasn’t founded on it being a business, it folded into that. But it’s foundation was a family, people that didn’t see it as a family but a cash cow made it die.
-
Optic fans stand with Hecz, not immortals, he leaves, we go with.
-
so basically optic went corporate and corporate's decisions were out of touch and tanked the brand...not something that is uncommon
-
Drop the halo team but signed some egirl streamers I’m dead
-
Anyway we can get J edited out of the thumbnail? Or at least edited with a big red X over his face
-
I know back in 2013 playing bo2 league of the champions and everybody know scump and nadeshot i miss this time so much 😔😣😢😭
-
sad to see 100T making all the moves OpTic should have made 😓
-
Well I see why nadeshot left....damn. I remember back in 2012-2015 when you would catch a tournament stream and it be like faze vs nv and it would only have 20,000 viewers but then when it was optic vs any team the views would jump to over 100,000. There would be thousands of people screaming optic and filling up the entire stadium, now it feels like no one cares about the tournaments and just want optic to stay alive as a team all together.

J destroyed in 1 year and a half what took Hecz 10 to build
-
100T Is the new optic but with bigger moves
-
Sad... not an optic die hard fan... but you got to respect what they have done. formal and karma are my fav 2 players in that order.
-
Selling majority of optic was what caused all of this

H3CZ needs to leave.. take all the cod players and content creators with him and start a new brand
-
And Optic Midnight just left optic. She'd been with them for over 10 years.
-
Was out of the gaming scene for about 3 years and I comeback to this? Life's a trip
-
Optic J will have a team with no fans & no players! Hecz wins in the end because everyone follows him!
-

Never wanted this video to come. But I mean after being in the top list of teams for 7+ years it had to end. Everything good must come to an end.
