Although we are keen riders with over 200,000 km to our credit on our tandem in the last 15 years and another 30 to 40K on solo bikes I KNOW that this ride is beyond me. ( I will blame old age). I met some riders at Dinner Plain who were feeling like a failure because they couldn't continue. But to get that far then to me they are STILL a legend. To get up Hotham at all would be beyond 98% of cyclists. Congratulations to everyone. (PS I was one of your friendly volunteer team at dinner plain).

Perhaps there should be a cap on temperature, I’ve seen the footage of the back of falls, tough at 42 degrees, is it safe? I’m there next year, weather permitting 😊
