5 Days To Live – Documentary

Published 2024-02-26
What would you do if you had 5 Days To Live? In this documentary, Barry “Bears” Neil Kaufman’s life flashes before our eyes, after he discovers he has stage-four metastatic cancer throughout his body. Bears, an internationally-renowned author, and his sharp-witted wife/partner Samahria, sit down in-front of the camera to recount, in their own words, five pivotal stories that explore how their unique approach to life helped them navigate extraordinary circumstances – with an unconventional and self-designed healing of cancer, creating a program for autism that has transformed families worldwide, learning to love themselves and each other and overcome trauma… creating dramatically uncommon outcomes at each turn.

Absolutely delightful to watch this whole video, and especially the story of your triumph over the death sentence. I participated in four programs at the Option Institute between 1985 and 2007, and have always benefitted from the Option teachings. Thank you both for steadfastly holding the place of love, no matter how hateful the outside world may become.

  • Bears and Samahria, Please let the world know the name of the most kind and loving man you likely ever knew, who taught you about the beliefs that were making you both so unhappy, Bruce Di Marsico and his Option Method. Bruce is gone now some 29 years. He no longer needs to remain "anonymous". As his widow and the keeper of all of his teachings, I grant you permission to tell everyone of the tremendous gift he gave you. Please don't deprive people of the experience of finding out about him, hearing his voice on recordings I have published online or reading his lectures I have published on line and in his books. Fully share him rather than hiding him. Rejoice in his gifts to you both. He loved you. I'm glad you have been able to help so many with your own work since meeting him.
