Matt Chapman is easily in the top three third baseman in the league and if you're only looking at his defense, he's in the top three of all time. With that being said we obviously have to look at his baseball glove and figure out how he wheres it and breaks it in. Chapman uses the MC26 which is simply a 1787 with a cooler look and name. Matt Chapman actually used a Rawlings glove before his Wilson and he seems to be loving his Wilson

Chappy is the best 3rd baseman hands down. When he came to Toronto he was so happy because he watched how that team reacted with each other last year and said in an interview he wanted that camaraderie… The weekend he showed up in Toronto he went and bought a house there and said “ this is my place”

The first thing I do when I get a new glove is remove the heel pad - allows the leather to stay firm all over while providing a quick break in and heel flexibility. Tedious process but works like a charm! Glove still sits open when sitting on its side!
