Real time transitions in the field to battles, capturing, trainer movement during battles, being able to let your Pokemon out to chill with you and each other, I'll be honest if they take some of these core mechanics away for Gen 9 I don't think I'd be able to accept it, this has to be the new standard.

As long as the fetch quests don’t get repetitive, I just hope there’s enough story and progression to make it exciting

This game is definitely good. No reason this shouldn't be the standard formula from here on out. I'd love the addition of gyms, breeding, and a botw climbing/swimming/stamina mechanic
