Reseller etiquette would be for him to wait until you were leaving the property and then ask you to buy some from you at a fair price. He should have known better. You were 100% gracious.

9:30 I'm cringing at how she's creasing them all up, flopping them all over trying to get the stack of prints back in the envelope. They had likely never been out of that envelope until then. Lesson here...lay your claim, pay the price and take immediate possession of it.

The lady put you in an awkward spot by asking ,"unless you want to share them". You handled it well. I would have just replied I'll take them all, no reason owed. Hope you profited well from the extras!

As a reseller, HE needs to follow etiquette. There are unspoken rules that should be followed. You don’t step on each other’s toes, or interfere with each other’s deals. This world is full of stuff to resell. You handled that with class. He surely did not.

That was rude on his part regardless if he was a reseller or not.

He was wrong and the seller was terrible! You said you wanted them all…you made the deal with her and said you would take them all. The other guy was just mad that you got to these before he did! I can bet if the tables were turned….he would NOT have split them with you! Glad you didn’t let either of these people get to you and so happy you got them!

He tried to move in on your deal. The seller made it more awkward by entertaining his antics. The seller should have said I'm sorry, but we already made a deal. Best wishes! -Steven

I feel like she was out of pocket for even asking would you split them. I was getting anxious just watching her mess with them after she agreed to $5. I think you were more polite than I could’ve been for sure

You were in the right. He should have told himself darn missed that deal can’t win them all and left it at that. You were first to make the deal. It’s your choice what to do after. You should not feel guilty.

This video is a couple of years old, but I just watched it. You handled it wonderfully. My Mom went to clearance sales, estate / garage sales, and thrift stores in the 90s. A hobby. She would have a garage sale every year just to see how much she could profit. Even throughout her treatments for breast cancer, she continued as best she could. She was in a store for after Christmas clearance sale. Her health issues were obvious. She was holding an item in her hands. A woman approached her and took the item out of her hands and asked "Are you going to buy this" ? 😂WOW My Mom handled it very politely and purchased the item. She was such a patient considerate person. I am my Father's daughter... My family often jokes that had I been involved in various senerials, I would end up in the back seat of a cruiser.
