I purchased this 2022 X Pro Tahiti 150 from powersportsmax online for $1,099. It was just under $1400 delivered to my house. In this video I go over all the details that you might be interested in. So far it has been a blast owning this little scoot.

I replaced the carb with one off Amazon ($25) that is jetted differently and appears to be made in Japan. It also has mixture adjustment screws. The stock carb is missing ANY form of adjustment and is jetted for EPA fuel economy. It made a very noticeable difference. It's not life changing but worth the upgrade. It really helped with acceleration and helped a little with top end speeds. I will get between 52 and 54 mph on flat roads. I find that the scooter likes to go around 45-48 comfortably. When installing I did not use any of the hoses that come with the new carb. I just unhooked the stock carb and transplanted the new one in. Make sure to open the drain up that is at the end of the long hose with the spring around it. you will have to cut some zip ties to remove the choke wire from the harness. Got mine today. I had to install several parts, none too difficult. Mirrors, exhaust cover, battery, tiny windscreen and everyone's menace - the center stand. Luckily, I've installed several of these so if you know the trick, it's not too difficult. DO check the oil! Mine had very little. Topped it off and added gas then rode around for awhile. Adding oil is a trick though - get a looooong funnel and add in small amounts. Coming from an 89cc (bore kit on a 49cc), the size difference is considerable. Weight too. The feel of riding it reminds me more of an ATV than a tiny scooter. You can ride with your head held high. Guys riding Harley's will rode (two-finger) salute you. Also, it does have mounting points on the frame for crash bars. An after market cruise control / throttle lock will come in handy if you plan to ride long distance, which you can.

Great review. Appreciate the time you took to explain everything. I've been looking at this model for a while now. Thanks again.

Great commentary & Narrative. I have one and you answered most of my questions.
  • Thank you for this review. I had an eye on this model for a bit. Once you get it broken in good and proper you may get about 3-5 more mph on your top speed. I hope it does you well for many miles and years to come my friend. Looks nice.

Set to receive mine Monday. This video helped me make the final decision. I'll post again after I get it going for a few miles. Thanks!
  • Just got mine yesterday. 86 miles everything works well. I live on a dirt road next to a field and the tires are great when the sand is soft. Every motorcycle rider needs a scooter for errands and this is it. I love that front rack.

Its getting warmer here and I will be making some more videos soon! What would you like to see?

Hello! Great video, thank you! Do you recommend I change the transmission gear oil during first oil change, after delivery?
  • thanks for the information I will definitely go through powersportsmax And get it in the spring! I would love if you can make another in depth review about, the speed, the digital dash, the seat hight, and in some cases the handle bar can hit your leg when you turn it all the way, is that a problem for you? Also another question about the dash on the video when you turned on the bike the 2 digital dash light boxes on the right should light up or are they non functional? The Yamaha zuma 2022 has the high Beams on the right box and red light on the bottom right for the oil light do those lights light up on the Tahiti clone?

I have about 160 miles on mine so far. Hardly riding my large motorcycles at all (An 800 and an 1100) I'm loving this little thing. I gave my son a ride to his judo lessons today on my 800 and it felt like a tank compared to this little 150.

I just bought this bike 2 days ago but the china gator branded knockoff that thanks to this video ik is a Yamaha Zuma, Mine is a Gator Tank 200, its a fuel injected not carburated 200cc single piston. My top speed that i hit so far was like 45mph after holding the throttle not that long, has quite a punch for acceleration. I love it, when the headlights are on there both on and the high beams blast both very bright blue finish to it. Love the bike

When the scooter came to you, was the rear kickstand already installed? I've had a horrible time trying to fit the spring on it. It simply does not fit. And the kickstand was lying in the container, not even fastened down. I removed the rear kickstand until I can find a spring that works.

Got this a month back, freat condition, all i had to install was battery, mirrors, the hand gaurds, digital meter shade cover, no carb adjustments needed. I took it on main route roads like route 6 in Massachusetts and it will do its 55-56 mph up and down those roads. I did change the factory oil it came with with 10w-40 and its been great since the beginning. I take it on some long rides that are like 30 ish minute rides backroads, city to city trips. Only complaint on mine is the footpegs pop out with the littlest bumps but its a minor fix but doesnt inconvenience me much. I got it to 60 down a hill but thats pushing it. It likes to sit in the 50-56 range in high rpms.

Thank you for this review. I need to get a cheap vehicle and the seems better than a car. I found a place online selling these at a reasonable price and I wanted to make sure that it wasn't a terrible product.
  • Thanks for the information on Tahiti. Do you still have it? If so, any problems with it sofar? Xpro doesn't give full specs on this bike. I'd like to know the ground clearance, wheelbase, and seat hight, if you don't mind. Is it a heavy bike? I can't decide between Tahiti and X19(Lanai). They're both 150cc. Lanai doesn't come with rear and front racks and doesn't have hand guards. But, it does have two high beams and too low beams with a 6.6" ground clearance which is decent for a scooter.
